Oh, I get it!

One of the Forgotten 5 is getting married; and

The parents of one of the Forgotten 5 are thinking about a reverse mortgage.

Ah...perspective!

BTW, the thing that makes a RM such a bad deal is something known as "capitalized interest" (interest charged on previously accrued and unpaid interest). CI increases the debt burden exponentially over time. Einstein is rumored to have once said that capitalized interest is the most powerful force in the universe. Making things worse some of these RM shysters also capitalize the points and closing costs. Ugh!

Have said it before, and it's not a popular sentiment on here, but this continues to be a failure in leadership and action on the part of Jack and Jenkins. No excuse for hearings to take this long.

It is definitely annoying having to wait, but you really don't have any idea if there is an excuse (or a reason) for why it is taking this long. We don't actually know anything.

Wow, I don't know how that one got by me. So, thank you for that!

WILD CARD, BITCHES!

Disappointed that this post made it two pages without a follow-up clip:

I've gone through that but can't think of many. I don't buy the NCAA angle. The NCAA isn't in the "who cheated" business. My thought would be the university would need to determine if they were in eligible before the NCAA stepped in. There can't be an appeal on behalf of the student without a hearing. And the investigation was said to have wrapped up long ago. The Dean could be on sabbatical, but they would have probably found a replacement by now.

Still, even if there is a delay, tell the student that. It continues to appear as they are in the dark on all of this as well. That's where the failure on the part of the admin comes into play.

Sorry, the forgot the italics on that one...ha!

I say we go Braveheart and storm the Academic Affairs office and demand a hearing.
I know you were being sarcastic but you said it in response to me as if I somehow HAD suggested that accountability was un-American.

Ha...not at all. I have thoroughly enjoyed your views on this subject. It has been a fun thread to actually participate in. I was responding to the "that's new" comment. I seem to be in the minority on that view and I know the sentiment isn't one shared by many on here...but I continue to bring it up. I wouldn't criticize anyone on here in that way, or in any way. This shouldn't be a place for personal attacks, we all want the same thing in the end, a successful program. And booze, we all want booze.

You just received an invite to my wolfpack. It has expanded by 1.

Can we talk about depth for a few minutes. This actually does have me worked up for both SU and SU after that (well, would you look at that...I am sure that the SID will be looking to see when the last time ND played back to back games against teams with SU as their initials, but I digress).

So worst case scenario:
Amir is out next week, Tori isn't ready to go, and DD isn't back yet. That leaves what at WR? And do we honestly think that cadre of wide outs can a) win off the line of scrimmage and b) make plays to win the game?

In the secondary, I don't even know where to start. If Austin isn't back yet, we do get Max back for the game, so that does help with depth. Are we athletic enough back there to compete into the meat of our schedule?

What about BuzzFeed articles like:

"16 Things Only Huffington Post Readers Will Understand. Number 9 Will Blow Your Mind."

"24 Ideas for Getting Barack Obama Reelected for a Third Term. Number 7 Will Drive Rush Limbaugh Crazy."

"13 Pictures of Joe Biden Acting a Fool. Number 13 Proves He Should be in the Nuthouse."

I googled the first one to see if those were real, and came across "16 Things only a Bostonian Would Understand."

What does the rest of the country (outside of New England) think a "regular" coffee is?

Those entries will be randomly deemed impermissible. Except Joe Biden acting like a fool. That is allowable. Not because his is a fool, but the randomness of things he can make foolish knows no bounds.
