I wouldn't just take Reilly's word as fact. He hasn't said anything specific, which is strange for a guy with his brand of bravado. Most people pick up their bets when they have won, not when they have assumed they won. I still think that you will lose this bet.

As much as I agree with Wooly that he shouldn't touch game helmets with his bad-luck hands. Maybe make him polish helmets that sit in the equipment room, unused?

Bad form ND, bad form.....As a fan that didn't go to the school, I always looked at that as something very special and not for people that trash our Irish. I'd kill to get up there and experience that.

I would've told him that it's reserved for those that love the Irish...not sports writers with a bet to settle.

He's a popular writer for espn, he's owing up to his bet, our players want him to come to ND to fulfill his promise, I think it would be good exposure for ND (as does Jack if he gave permission for Riley to come), what's there to hate on him for. I'm not a fan of Riley, I'm a fan of the situation.

REILLY is a major jackoff. Just because ESPN pays him millions does NOT make him a good writer.

And the fact that ND is taking the PR for this BEFORE they win the National Title is VERY BAD PR if they don't win it. Because Reilly will win out either way, while it can only backfire against ND.

ND certainly does NOT need the PR from this.

I thought Jack knew that.
