I am certain many of you have already seen and read this article, but for those who read Sports Illustrated in the 90s and 2000s this is a must read. Part of me expects to be tarred and feathered for posting this thread, after the infamous "Irrelevant" article. This final piece by Reilly is short and he goes out on a good note. I'm willing to look past the jab at ND and look at this guy's career as a whole (especially after he tried to mend things with Golic Jr and crew). I'm a big fan of "Who's Your Caddy" by Reilly as well. Ultimately this closes the book on one of the biggest names of the 1990-2010s of sports writing. But let me conclude with this: love him or hate him at least he's not Skip Bayless

I didn't like all the resentment he showed towards his father. Sure it sounds like the guy was a bum by all accounts, but RR is a successful adult, and was fueled by his absence. Seems too late in the game to still be dealing about something from decades ago.

I guess I am in the minority about Reilly, but I went back and read some more of his articles and there surely is an arrogant attitude about him.
