9-3. One win more than I originally had. We lose to Stanford, FSU, and one more.

10-2 if all of the injuries are minor and the 3 come back. If not, 9-3 IMO. We can beat USC at end of year, lose to Stanford and FSU.

9-3, down from 10-2

Alot of injuries, still no word on the suspended 5 and our OL is really disappointing so far.

Sticking with 10-2, but now I'd say 10-2 with upside versus before when I thought 10-2 was the upside.

10-2 at least. This was a fluke game with a lot of missing personnel. The o-line HAS to get better over the bye, but USC was exposed as a fraud. FSU will be tough, but I think we have a good shot if we show up like week 2, and not today. The Ville was exposed, and Stanford is still an enigma. Honestly, FSU and Stanford are the only games I'm truly concerned about if we're finally playing up to snuff.

11-1. We can run with anyone on the schedule, except FSU I believe.

(Caveat of injuries and suspensions). 11-1 high ceiling, 9-3 low end.

Loss to Stanford? I'll be there just like in 2012 and I can say we will win!

FSU is beatable guys. Not a single game will be easy, but this is a Notre Dame team that can beat anybody on that schedule. We'll see what happens.

With our MIAs, our limping wounded, and our undominating OLine I don't see a USC letdown or an UL upset render either of them chop meat.

Depending on how many healthy bodies are available next week Syracuse is a threat.

Typical year. With a little luck we could beat anyone on our schedule, one or two bad breaks or brain farts and we could lose to almost any of them.

I'm not sure. I'd say 10-11 regular season wins are attainable. 11-1 and we're probably in the playoffs. If we're on we can play with anybody. We have to stop with the slow starts though...that will get us killed at FSU.

Slow start?

Carlisle 47 yd K.O. Return

1st Drive 6 plays 45 yds TD, 2 min 37 seconds

2nd Drive 8 plays 39 yds Missed FG, 3:23

3rd Drive 12 plays 76 yds FG, 4:53

10 points a quarter is a 40 pt game rate.

9-3, but with more upside. I still figure we lose to some combo of Stanford, FSU, ASU, Louisville and USC. Would feel better about 10-2 or 11-1 if ASU's QB is really hurt and/or if Louisville or USC lose another game or two and have nothing really to play for by the end of the season.

Yes 10 points a quarter is but we only scored 7 points in the first quarter and ended the the quarter tied with a sorry Purdue team and ended the game only scoring 30. Outside of the 1st drive the rest of the first half ranged from decent to inept.

We can't drive all the way down the field on your second possession get a 3rd and 2 and turn that into a 4th and 8 after a head scratching outside screen call which then turns into a missed 50 yard field goal. We can do it against Purdue and still win comfortably because well they're Purdue but against teams like Stanford and FSU or even UNC, ASU, or USC you can't do that and get away with it all the time.

The first two weeks it was 3 and out city our first couple drives. I know it's nitpicking because we are 3-0 and 2 out of our 3 wins were blowouts but I really wanted to send Purdue out on the same note we sent Michigan out on. I won't miss playing Purdue that's for sure.

Purdue has become a tough out against ND regardless of how they are doing, so I'm not going to hit the panic button just yet. The Michigan game showed me this team can be very good when motivated and ready to execute.

Think I had 7-5 preseason, and I'm buying in now at 10-2, with blowout losses at FSU and ASU.

It depends on when and if the other guys get back to playing. I would say 10-2 or 9-3 with loss to FSU, a split with the California teams and a split with either Louisville/UNC.

Had 7-5.... Still roughly there as the part of the schedule that had me there to begin with lies ahead... Could go with 8-4
