Kizer needs to figure out how to channel how he plays with his back against the wall. He needs that all the time, no matter the situation.
Said it before, I'll say it again.
Wimbush should be given a bunch of the first team reps. Easily the most talent on the team.
One snap burns your redshirt unless you're granted a medical waiver.Do we know if Wimbush took too many snaps this year to still be considered a redshirt?

Thought there was a set time that you could still redshirt a player. Something like first 4 games of the season and under so many snaps.
People want Wimbush to redshirt but what this off season has taught us is that players who are NFL talent will go pro when they get a chance to.. Redshirting Wimbush prob only means he starts one year for us before turning pro...
It would be nice to see what our turnovers in the redzone were over that period as well.for those interested
Irish stats in the Red Zone the past eight years:

Don't be sorry. Thanks for looking. I was surprised by our numbers in the RZ this year.Well, couldn't find any results but, if you look year-by-year, there are only 4 items that can be outside of TD and FG which are turnover, turnover on downs, missed FG, or Time Expire; unless someone can think of something else that can factor.
This past year, 10 times no points out of 53 trips. Yoon was 12/13 in FG between 0-39 yards. But this does not include being in the red zone and then being pushed out of the red zone for a penalty or loss of yards, etc.
Sorry I couldn't find anything else.

Listened to Mike Frank's podcast today and he talked about how one of the QBs is much more liked by his teammates than the other (Kizer vs. Malik). I assume Malik is the more popular one, seems obvious to me. Do you think this will or should affect Kelly's decision, all things being equal? If this is the case, I think I would rather see Malik get the nod.
"much more liked?" That seems off to me. Maybe players felt Kizer got too cocky? He seems like a very humble kid with proper perspective and a true team guy. Malik seems the exact same way. He's confident and cares deeply about the team. This isn't a Jimmy Clausen/Sharpley situation, my Lord.
I don't think it's a like vs dislike situation... but more they prefer one over the other.
It's obvious who owns the locker room and the program for that matter. Some have said Joe didn't have the full respect of the locker room, that's not to say they disliked him or thought he was a douche. They just would have responded better to Jaylon if he was the one doing the yelling.
If you want that Ray Lewis pre game speech, that's Malik. I got the feeling from everybody that Kizer was simply holding down the fort till Malik was healthy.
That's pretty much how Mike put it. Do you think the team "preferring" one over the other will or should have an impact on who Kelly chooses? Obviously it shouldn't be the main factor but I could see it playing a role. Gonna be a long offseason.
It's a long offseason. Shit always seems to happen. Let's wait until spring and have this discussion.
None of this shit matters. You want the best QB on the field, regardless if he's inspirational or motivational. Each player should go out there and hope to win with the 11 on the field.
We get into the soap opera but the player who puts us in the best position to win is the one who'll be under center (or taking the shotgun snaps).
Kind of. It matters if they are about equal. I agree that if one is definitively better than the other it doesn't matter but if they are very close to equal, then it probably does matter.
