Sounds like a head case, will be perfect with Sanders.

Nowhere close as crazy as Bowen's recruitment. In fact, if Prime didn't go to Colorado, the kid was going to go to Miami.

I think if you are DB you would be crazy not to give Coach Prime serious thought.

James Houston was an off the ball linebacker at Florida and he went to JSU and Prime
Converted him to Edge and he’s been a revelation for the Detroit Lions his rookie year had like 8 sacks. I’d trust Sanders’ ability to develop kids he’s not just a pure recruiter

I get that playing for Coach Prime will in some ways garner you extra attention. But at the end of the day, any coverage of Colorado will likely not focus on the players, it will focus on Coach Prime. I just envision ESPN highlights where they spend about 20 seconds showing highlights of the play on the field and two minutes showing sideline reactions of Coach and interviewing Coach.

Brewster spent five years coaching in the NFL and hasn't been back since 2007.

I completely understand why and how.

Not sure that if you're a DB, being coached by Deion is necessarily a big deal. Granted, he was probably the best pure cover guy ever, but that had a lot more to do with his extraordinary speed and reaction time than any technique. Of course he had great technique too, but it wasn't anything new or different or special that he can teach to others. In other words, there's probably not much he can teach to a young DB that dozens of other good coaches don't also know and can teach. If you don't have his world class speed and instincts, he can't turn you into the next world's greatest corner.

Can't disagree with you on that but, he was the WORST tackler.... I know he was protecting his body but he HATED tackling

So, I haven't been paying much attention to PrimeTime but saw this by Wiltfong.

top-ranked cornerback Cormani McClain ghosting his Early Signing Period celebration on Dec. 21 where he was expected to sign with with Miami, then nearly a month later announcing his commitment to Colorado following an official visit to Boulder the weekend of Jan. 13. Deion Sanders and the new Buffaloes staff have worked fast, securing 19 high school pledges led by McClain giving the Pac 12 program its highest recruiting ranking in 247Sports history at No. 29. That was in less than two months work.

there would be no reason for any folks from the previous HC's teams to hang around IMO

Prime is claiming that if you're looking for an NIL deal, CU isn't the school for you.

He says around the 17 minute mark that he's been the recruit, the parent of the recruit and the coach. He's "sat in all three seats." Interesting selling point.

If any other coach said this I feel like they would be fired?

That is 100% Bobby Bowden talking right there.

Spencer Hall even mentioned how his hand gestures are the same as Bowden's.

The funniest part of all of this is that his starting QB is his own kid....who comes from a single parent home. He's also full of shit and would never say no to a top 100 QB recruit with a 3.4 GPA

I'm probably not going to pass on Lamar Jackson, Teddy Bridgewater, etc. if they can play.

Maybe not fired, but we'd have 20+ think pieces from major publications about the "racist undertones" if it were a well-known white dude saying it.

He was just trying to get a fun soundbite out there. And the logic is even understandable, if not stereotypical about where different types of success might come from. It was in poor taste, though.

Trying to imagine if BK touted the ideals of QB's from solid home environments vs signing DL prospects from broken families as the coach of ND... would have been a site to see on Twitter lol.

Yeah it would've been a leading story on ESPN for multiple news cycles.

The clips on the Tweet, he doesn't mention race.

Everyone is left to infer he's talking about black kids?

For certain,… but I think the dialogue here is reacting off previous cases where the statement was similar enough, also didn’t mention race yet the race assumptions/reactions were absolutely made by all
