I think basically anyone honest has to admit at this point if they are voting for her, they are voting for having a vacant White House for another 4-8 years. It's sorta disturbing that she's been a senator/VP for almost a decade and doesn't even know how to give some canned answer that conveys a policy position.

People can love/hate the Donald for his beliefs, character, etc. But at least there is a >0% that he will do some critical thinking and make a decision (good or bad).

I don't think it's hard to paint her as dumb. I think problem is Donald himself ain't exactly a MENSA candidate and a lot of normally persuadable voters hate him. If the GOP had nominated someone else (say RDS or Haley) who could run on the border, economy, etc. they'd be cruising to a pretty easy win right now. I think some of you guys have some interesting opinions of your counterparts on the other side of the aisle. It comes across that some of you see us as these cruel racists or hatemongers when it couldn't be further from the truth. The media leaves a lasting impression.

There's been a lot of talk about putting the first woman of color into the chair as if it's a qualification for the position. Gender, skin color, sexual orientation, religion, etc should never be the basis for selecting the leader of the free world. It really should come down to strength of leadership, policy, speaking ability, and other factors that will actually help one do the job at hand. It really should be the best person we have to offer, but sadly it's mostly snakes that get into politics. There will be a woman in the office one day, and hopefully she's there on her merits and ability and not because she checks a box.

Which is why DEI is so insidious. It makes minorities who climb the ladder to high positions have to always live with the perception that their own abilities alone are not what got them the job. Which is exactly what Clarence Thomas often speaks to in his opposition to Affirmative Action (besides his constitutional objections to the practice)

It's very appealing to have a young, successful black coach. I love it. Many ND fans felt the same way. A majority of fans were behind him getting the job AND proud of his race (and fun mixed race family!) as well.

Once and a while, when things are going bad, you'll see the "DEI hire" slur thrown Freeman's way on message boards. That's the sad part.
