You beat me to it.She's in good company. There's quite a lot of embarrassments in Congress.

Well Trump was entertaining. Its a shame that the House has some objectively dumb people. But they do provide entertainment at least
We got to watch the dems go after Trump with fake Russia and a made for TV Jan 6 saga. Now we get prime time Hunter but probably only on FOXNEWS.Well Trump was entertaining.
Pelosi and Dianne are just old. Maxine can't lean on thatWaters, Pelosi, Feinstein all from Cali. Something in the water?
I'm fine with that. My idea was that Senators serve 6 years so if no one runs after 70 then they're out of office by 76 at the latest. If they run again at 75 they're over 80 by the time they retire. You're not wrong on the term limits though, that would probably solve the problem. While there are many candidates that are still sharp in their 80s and can serve, there are some that certainly can't and shouldn't..and unfortunately nobody says anything.I’d go with 75, but Term limits would take care of the age limit.
I'm not an ageist, this is more about mental health than anything. There have been some candidates in the past that probably should not have been holding public office, but they did because no one said anything since they still drew money and votes. There are certainly candidates that are capable of going longer, but really do we need 75 and 80+ year olds running the country? They're in their twilight years, they should be enjoying retirement and their families. Biden first started serving in the Senate 50 years ago. There's many of us here that weren't even born yet. Joe clearly isn't as sharp today as he was as Obama's VP. He gets lost after leaving the podium, he's heavily reliant on teleprompters and note cards. He forgets he's eulogizing a dead person and asks if they're in the audience. This is supposed to be the most powerful man in the world, he may be a security risk. Joe will be 80 years old in 2 days. To prevent this sort of thing happening again that's why I suggested a cut off at 70 to try and minimize it.Why age limits? Some of these youngsters are of sound mind and dumber than some of these 70+ politicians.
I say you have to be 65 to be in any office. This would make people work a normal job before becoming a politician with actual life experience. Weed out the ones that would make lousy employees and workers and allows people to build actual resumes with actual work completed. Work changes people. After a long career and life it gives perspective these young politician crusaders don’t have.
I still think politicians need work and life experience first. Career politicians shouldn’t ever be allowed. Maybe somewhere in the middle. Only 55-65 year olds. 🤷♂️I'm not an ageist, this is more about mental health than anything. Interesting. That’s about where I would put the mandatory retirement age.Average age is 64. I thought it would be worse. I think the outliers make it seem a lot worse than it is. We expect senators to be pretty accomplished people. Pretty tough to make a compelling case to the voters until you are on the tail end of your professional career. The House is where the young folks belong.
John Fetterman. Are you trying to tell me that there is anyone more unqualified to be in Congress than Lauren Boebert?
Gotta say the stroke thing would be a non starter for myself.John Fetterman.
Never had a job. Can't talk.

On the other hand what does that say about the public perception of Dr. Oz in that he lost pretty handily to Fetterman?

Boebert failed her GED…multiple times.John Fetterman.

Boebert failed her GED…multiple times.
Still a functioning adult somehow lmaoBoebert failed her GED…multiple times.
Reality is Trump lost because of voters voting against trump and no for a decaying old man. Trump running again will be the same. Winning an election is about firing up your base, Trump did that but also fired up the other base to vote against him. Trump wouldn’t win against Putin at this point. I can’t stand Trump at all but if he ran and won the GOP ticket he would be means to an end. People don’t vote for politicians they vote for party. There are people that “think” Biden is mentally capable still. They are just “boot licking” because of their party affiliations or just have very low standards for the presidency.Everyone wishing Trump would just “go away” realize that there were multiple opportunities to put him out to pasture right?
Too bad 99% of the GOP decided that was too risky politically. It’s interesting seeing them all poopoo Trump now and it’s going to be hilarious during the GOP primary when he throws on tape of the same people who will try to criticize him during the primary cupping his balls and falling all over themselves two years earlier saying what a great president he was.
It’s also interesting that one of the things that likely makes running again very attractive to Trump is the complete lack of campaign finance regulations in terms of donor limits and dark money. Sweet irony there.
I’ve learned to never poke at education. I can name a handful of millionaire friends that just have a GED and could name people like JayZ. My own sister had two kids before 18 and got her GED now owns and operate an ambulance business.Boebert failed her GED…multiple times.
There's a lot of people that thought Trump would never be President either, including the man he replaced. They're not all geniuses by any stretch, but sometimes you just need to understand how to dupe voters.Boebert failed her GED…multiple times.
Democracy works, authoritarianism eventually doesn't.

Who was the last authoritarian to win a major military conflict? I honestly can't think of any since WWI. Part of the reason is that people don't want to fight for a despot and the way the military is organized is generally inefficient or corrupt.I'm not sure any non-elite US citizen would argue that authoritarianism is good. Is this supposed to be a slam on the right? Despite what the MSM says, conservatives are firmly opposed to authoritarianism - I'm surprised that this outright lie has even gained traction amongst the general public.
But wow, that tweet has some selective reasoning there.
Russia's failure in the war has nothing to do with authoritarianism/liberalism
Tweet ignores all the massive protests that Canada and US had over the past 2 years
Both sides have election deniers; just depends on which side wins
Many other economic indicators than simply unemployment; several in the US are way down
If China's economy is sputtering, I wonder what adjective we can use for the US economy
