We laugh, but this is a huge deal. Yuuuge. I'm trying to track down a percentage of legislation that actually comes from judges instead of, you know, legislators. I saw a couple people throwing out 80% today on FB. They were both unsourced. I don't believe it's that high, but I'm still digging for some info.

Sens. Susan Collins, R-Maine, and Joe Manchin, D-W.Va have both announced they'll vote to confirm Kavanaugh. Barring some unforeseen defection from a Republican, this means Kavanaugh will be confirmed to The Supreme Court in tomorrow's vote.

Not tired of winning. Can't wait for the shitstorm that comes when Trump goes to pick RBG's replacement.

Elizabeth Warren DNA test shows she is somewhere between 3% and 0.1% Native America from an unidentified ancestor 6+ generations ago and she is using that as vindication. Seriously?

For context, most tribes make you be at most 4 generations removed from a full blood ancestor to claim membership. So she had no problem putting Native American on her resume even though there is not a chance she would be recognized by any North American tribe. And given all that, she is taking a victory lap today... it’s not the good optics she thinks it is.

That's crazy. So she's actually like 0.1% Latina? My grandma did the DNA test thing and her largest concentration was "Native American" subtext "Ecuador/Colombia". I dunno how these DNA people possibly get it that precise.

I told this story before but a cousin and an aunt (her aunt too, not my cousin's mom) did the tests about a year apart... the results could not have been more wildly dissimilar. There is nothing awry on the family's part, they are blood. Obviously we all know you'd see the other side of my cousin's family impact her stuff and all but this was ridiculous. Their 'maps' barely overlapped at all (like less than 5%) to the point where they couldn't really be related. Maybe they just messed one or the other up IDK... I've been meaning to try it too to see which one mine aligns more with.
