Good lord. Those people probably have just as much critical thinking skills as people who are pro-vax. This is not something unique to anti-vax people. For example, someone with critical thinking skills would recognize that a decision to take the vax or not is not the same for everyone. My 25 year old daughter has almost no risk and she hasn't gotten the vaccine. Does that make her a bad person? She's used her critical thinking skills and made what she thinks is the best decision based upon her risk profile. But that's not good enough for you. Everyone should be mandated to get the vax. If you don't you are a moron. Worse, you call her a shitty person. One size fits all. Blah Blah Blah.

Absolutely not a good decision. Long term COVID impacts have been known to be shitty, especially if I can take something to even make a mild case less. You're allowed to make your own choices, but because "you" make them doesn't give you a pass on criticism.

I'm waiting for you to comment on others posts about their "tone" or are they getting a pass too? Your rules, not mine.

There are places in America where communties are still valued, and I happen to live in one of those places. I work my life away to own a small piece of it, and I use my resources and time to try and leave the place nicer than I found it. I raise my kids here, I coach their teams, I help out at school, etc. There's zero chance I'm going to sit around like a dickless idiot and watch peaceful protestors burn everything this community has built to the ground.

Unfortunately, there are moments that require men to put themselves in harms way for the greater good of his family, friends, community etc. A well run organized society is heavily reliant on their sacrifices and these people are nothing short of heroic.

I'm speaking generally. Whether or not any of this applies to Rittenhouse is up for interpretation.

I, like you take pride in my community and have always worked to make it better. However, I’m going to work through more normal channels than place myself in harms way and possibly leave my family in a situation that those two families are dealing with.

I have a serious question for everyone, left or right. When Democrats say stuff like this, do they genuinely believe it, or are they pandering to their target audience and trying to stir up the base?

My assumption is it’s some of both. In this case the chair of the DCCC was criticized for the lack of minorities in the leadership positions when he got the job. So he’s probably feeling more pressure to appease minority groups by wording his statement as forcefully as he did.

Of course they don’t believe it. I sat in rooms where Joe Baca’s, Maxine Waters’ and our current VP’s campaign teams all openly discussed how to weaponize this shit to win elections… don’t tell me they believe. I’ve seen that they don’t first hand. The voters who buy into their rhetoric??? Now that’s completely different,…

That's correct, I did make that comment. What I commented on was the hypocritical tone policing that the user has done multiple times. He can handle me questioning why it isn't consistent, or ironically how it's only applied in one direction.

And as I told a friend earlier today, it's a good thing there was LOTS of video evidence or this kid could have very well been ramrodded by popular opinion that the toxic media/politicians created.
Independent journalists and live streamers saved him. That FBI footage that was held and the drone footage would have been all they could have used. Fortunately, many people who understand the law were able to see the footage for the past year and help him defend his name.

On the bright side too, the deceased were irredeemably bad people. Obviously not good that people are dead but...like they were shitty people.

I saw that "Karma" was trending on Twitter earlier. Lot of angry people hope that Karma wins out in the end. I kind of feel like it already has. Rittenhouse is free, and a couple scumbags are no longer walking the streets. Rosenbaum for sure, that dude was all kinds of evil. If there is such a thing as Karma, it came to collect for his past.

On the topic of self defense, I just saw this pop up tonight too. Bless this girl, I hope she gets exonerated too.

Lucky for both of us we've always had that option. Maybe one day we won't.

Every adult failed Kyle Rittenhouse that night.

The Governor
The police and local municipalities.
The adults making Rittenhouse feel important there.
The adults who tried to kill him.

You watch those videos of that night and so many others and you keep waiting for Snake Pliskin to show up because this must be Escape From New York.

Looks like the guy who drove through the parade in WI yesterday was a poster child for bail reform and the joke of our criminal justice system that lets bad people walk. Our under-incarceration problem is on full display and people are dead because of it.

100%.

I was talking to a lawyer just the other day about bail reform. Besides the obvious of letting bad actors and criminals out on the streets is that it creates more work in the system. The lawyer I was talking to said there are many people who do not come back for their court dates, meaning everyone is there for the trial or a “appearance except for the person they are there for. Which then gives them another charge for failure to appear in court. Which then leads to more arrest warrants and more arrest and paperwork that should not be necessary. The failure to appear typically and sadly gets dismissed so then it was a big waste of time anyway. There is not really much accountability for breaking the law, at least not here in New Mexico.

If Kyle Rittenhouse, a white guy who killed 2 white guys in self defense, is a white supremacist...how do we label this black guy who mowed down a bunch of people at a parade?

We’ve heard many ask what if Kyle were black, but the parade driver leads me to believe that Black Kyle would have had a minor bail amount or likely not even prosecuted and the folks at CNN or MSNBC would have dropped coverage as soon as the identity was released.

Rittenhouse is like...the worst white supremacist ever. Among the 3 white guys and 1 black guy that assaulted him he only shot the 3 white guys. How does that happen?
