It was all stupid and could have been avoided. The kid isn't a hero. Why in the world did those three go after him in the first place? I'm not going to put myself in the middle of a riot, but more importantly, why would you pursue someone who has a weapon?
There are places in America where communties are still valued, and I happen to live in one of those places. I work my life away to own a small piece of it, and I use my resources and time to try and leave the place nicer than I found it. I raise my kids here, I coach their teams, I help out at school, etc. There's zero chance I'm going to sit around like a dickless idiot and watch peaceful protestors burn everything this community has built to the ground.
Unfortunately, there are moments that require men to put themselves in harms way for the greater good of his family, friends, community etc. A well run organized society is heavily reliant on their sacrifices and these people are nothing short of heroic.
I'm speaking generally. Whether or not any of this applies to Rittenhouse is up for interpretation.
