The Super Bowl Is being played at the moment and If your an outside observer without fandom It's easy to be unbiased.

New England has been cheating for years without any real repercussion.
NBA Commissioner Silver stated he wanted in on the action If sports betting became legal tender.

Betting on sports has been done for years, but without some form of a standard being enforced how can a fan of sports remain in the rules.

I know I'm gonna get hit with this but at the moment I am fed up and don't care.

9/11 happens and trashy New England get's all the love since with their new Red white and blue get up.
Boston Bomber's and the Red Sox win.
Tuscaloosa Tornado and Bama does their annual routine.
Houston Flood/Hurricane

Sorry to hear that. You're not seeing beyond your table tho. You don't have to agree but there are some odd things that correlate

Pretty sure they lost draft picks and have had their qb suspected. Do you want them to get the death penalty?

Lol don't worry I smell what you are stepping in. Certain successful teams don't get called for anything. Alabama and New England are among them.

Two things. They are coached by the best coaches, so not surprisingly, they play disciplined football and don’t commit many mistakes. Also, when calls go their way they make you pay. Plenty of teams are the recipients of bad calls, those teams don’t usually capitalize, so nobody complains.

No. Just no. You think that well coached teams don't hold? Or interfere with passes? Etc. Etc. They win a few big games(all the credit in the world to them for those), and they do take advantage of what you give them, but they get fed shit.

Do you think Alabama gets called for a pick play against Clemson in '15? Honest question.

This is the world we live in.

There really can't be an argument made tonight that New England got the majority of the calls.

I said well coached teams committ less mistakes, do you not agree? Not very controversial.

Not sure if what pick play you are talking about. FSU in ‘14? Ironically Clemson beat Alabama on a play that many thought was a pick play. It wasn’t called. Bama lost.

Good teams don't hold or interfere any less than other teams. That just happens regularly. Some teams(basically all) get called, a certain few others don't, by a few, I mean New England and Alabama.

Pardon, mixed up my close games. Yes, '14 vs. FSU.

Refs took a pretty light hand tonight. I don't recall an offensive holding or PI call all game. Most of the penalties that were called were pretty minor. The two Philly TDs that Chris Collinsworth kept going on about both looked pretty clear-cut to me (especially Ertz's catch-run-cross-the-plane play).

This thread surely wasn't made after the Patriots got absolutely hosed on a TD call in the first half? Also that hit that took Cooks out of the game was fucking dirty and didn't get flagged.

He was a runner. He actually turned into the hit. Just bad timing if you watch it in slow mo (or fast mo). 10 years ago nobody have gave it a second thought and it would have made the highlights for best hit. Guy got clocked but it was bad timing, not dirty IMO.

saw a few holds on the pats that were obvious, but didn't really impact the outcome/play, so I'm not going to bitch. Collinsworth is a bag of dicks. Wanted to put a fork in my eye during his replay commentaries.

Ha, ok. Every team is equal, regardless of coaching. The system is rigged in favor of the elite. You sound like a liberal.

Do you think Bill Belichick is magically coaching guys to not pass interfere or hold wheras every other team finds a way to commit those same penalties? This isn't life, it's a goddamn game with human's judging this stuff.

I'll say this, if Cleveland got key calls like some other obvious teams did this year we could have finished .500 ( yes, really)... can't even count the times my Browns were raped on third down and it wasn't called or when some key play on defense was gifted to the opposition through some tickey tack bullshit... must be nice to be able to rely on it 9/10...

No, we couldn’t have finished 0.500. Not a chance.

He was spot on for all of them, though.

I feel you, brother! I have been saying this, for years. The tuck-rule game was in 2001, right after 9/11.

The Raiders got screwed, because they have always been the bad guy, the anti-establishment team. The NFL said, "no way can we have these guys on the biggest stage, representing our league. Not during this time of tragedy and national unity." So the NFL called for the replay to go against The Raiders, thus starting this New England scourge.

I don't care if you think I need a tinfoil hat. That's my story, and I'm sticking to it. Fuck the Patriots!

Have you played sports? Guys hold and commit pass interference, often when they get beat. Guys who are less talented or are not coached properly, get beat more. Poor play calling and/or schemes can cause players to get beat and have to hold/commit pass interference. Happens all the time. So no, great coaches don’t have magic pills. They just put players in better position more often than bad coaches. I guess you don’t get that concept.
