Harry is behind all of our success and it has been a work in progress this whole time. He's been finding top OL talent and building them to play this brand of football.

I hope he gets lifetime tenure with us and I hope that means another decade of dominant OL play and top level talent roadgrading our way to victory.
Spot on. Can a position coach win coach of the year?

The way I see it is...

If we can hold onto...
Harry
Elko
Balis
...we will be winning football games for a long time to come.

This isn't some gimmick offense, or a couple skill players carrying the team.

This is a recipe for long term success.

How long until somebody tries to fire Harry due to being "too old"?

Aaron Taylor runs this right? He was for sure gonna give it to ND lol

Well deserved all the same.

I doubt the result changes even if it were set up by Paul Finebaum and Gary Danielson.

that thing is huge btw, it's like the ark of the covenant or something

The video on the website describes it. "It's 5 feet across, the bottom of the trophy to the top is about 4 feet" What the f*ck

Is Coach Moore entombed in that trophy???

Ok... THIS is why I continually say Hainsey to OC in '19. Dude's fun-sized for an ND OT. ...and calling Dr. Balis, he needs to make a house call to 101 Lower Leg Lane.

Anyone else excited about Liam next year? Think he'll fill in great for Big Mike.

REALLY interesting freebie from 247 on Long's view of next year's OL situation.

Here's a few of the points he made:

1. Long expects Hainsey to be the LT next season, not Eichenberg.

2. Kraemer is expected to remain at RT

3. Mustipher & Bars stay put as expected

4. LG is where the comp is at and unless an OT gets kicked inside, it would be Ruhland who he said, "a light came on for him in fall camp". He will remain Mustipher's back up regardless.

5. Banks is classified as an OT again. Said he looked good there during bowl prep. Cited his AAU basketball skills and natural athleticism to go 1 on 1 out there in space.

6. Said Ike had a "great, great bowl prep" yet says Hainsey will be at LT.

So according to this, next year's line looks like:

LT = Hainsey
LG = Ruhland / Eichenberg / Lugg / Banks
OC = Mustipher
RG = Bars
RT = Kraemer

Nope. Didn't see that coming.

Irish ‘feel really good’ about O-line in ‘18

I never saw that combo thrown out by anybody, in all the prognostication. If it's Ruhland, then I'll be pretty dang happy. That dude was mean in HS, as mean as Q, but just very undersized.

Could you imagine a Left <-- Center of:

LT = Hainsey 6-4/290
LG = Ruhland 6-3/300
OC = Mustipher 6-2/305

Wow.

Would you beef Hainsey up or keep his weight there focusing more on speed blocking? I dont know how 290 stands up for LT typically in big time OLs.
