But what difference does it make? The topic isn't whether or not TP asks for praise; it's about other poster's reactions to his vague predictions. TP does not ask for praise or criticism.

Posters are saying that they'll praise him when he's right, question him when he's wrong. I'm no mod, but seems reasonable to me.

You guys can delete this if you want, but let's talk about the elephant in the room. Posters like like TP are going to get protection on here because they're more valuable than, say, a 'kuehnja'. Life is a popularity contest, and most on here need to understand that. When we want to criticize TP, we need to do it as respectful as possible. Life's not always completely fair, but if you're clever, you can voice your dissatisfaction without getting stuff deleted.

I won't even respond to TP stuff right now, but to this, I say no. You get just as much protection from me as TP does. If someone begins to slam you, I'll delete it. Unless it's me. I let other guys delete my slams. :)

I can't speak for the other mods, but that's not my approach. You both are very positive contributors to the community, and are entitled to equal protection.

Though I'm not sure how it might happen, if you somehow became a polarizing figure around here but maintained your status as a respectful and positive contributor, I'd be equally zealous in stamping out "F*CK JAKE KUEHN" posts.

Ohhhhhhh Garrrrsshhhhhhh.

But seriously, it is what it is. Whether you, me, posters, or other mods admit it or not, certain posters are more valuable than others. Post accordingly is all my advice. BTW, I agree that Whiskeyjack is solid and judicial in his mod-ding.

You must be f**king wizard to ignore them. I have bigger issues with them than I ever have with TP. You said it yourself, when people post negative things about TP, things usually get personal really fast. Why is that?

Anyone remember the "TP brings more clicks to this site than anyone" guy? Holy hell that was a fun post to mock.

Maybe it's because I don't usually look at a thread right after a guy commits. And like Wooly said, the topic is polarizing.

Why don't the mods set-up a TP thread and sticky it somewhere, or just set up a Private TP Group. Anyone who wants to see TP's posts on any subject. or anyone that wants to read it can do that.

If you're not a TP fan, don't read the thread or the group. He has no responsibility to anyone, same as the rest of us.

In essence, make a thread or group for all of TP's tweets and responses to them? Not a bad idea...

But everyone wants to read TPs posts.

No one wants to read posts about TP.

If someone wants to start a TP Fan Club Thread/Group, go for it.

Lots of our members follow him on Twitter and post his tweets in various recruiting threads, so I don't think a dedicated thread would do much good.

Anyone who doesn't care for his posts can always just put him on their ignore list. Though it doesn't seem like TP is the issue per se, but how some other members go about lionizing/ defending him.

When something inherently hostile is written, no doubt. The mods in here are great about addressing it. But there's a lot if gray areas where certain posters (not talking tp) get more leeway when something is "on the fence", for lack of better words. My point is people and posters should understand this and construct your criticisms of popular members better, and you will be better received. My final two cents.

Doesn't that defeat the purpose of having individual recruit threads where ALL info is aggregated? So now, in order to appease a few people with vag rash, we have to go to multiple threads looking for info? Seems a tad illogical to me...not that my opinion matters at all.

I agree except it won't happen.

Did you do that on purpose? LOL

It is illogical as hell but this whole TP thing is illogical as hell. 98% of this board is opinion but somehow he's held to some higher level. I don't get it.

I havent been on here long guys but i have to agree with what he says. I dont think there is anything wrong with TP but people shouldnt overreact or over analyze the things he posts or tweets. In a way they should be taken as a grain of salt in my opinion. He is a regular human being like all of us and even if he does make a prediction he can be wrong sometimes. I just don't think people should look up at TP as some kind of higher power. If you believe his tweets or posts are some kind of prediction or something then great, if not then just let it go no big deal.

All I know is I appreciate TP's contribution(s), but I'm also not going to have an aneurysm over things when they don't work out the way I'd like lol
