Haha my posts during a game are to be taken on the same level as drunk texts. They are not remotely close to well-formed thoughts or coherent rational statements. I've it's a better way to vent frustrations than yelling at the TV and scaring guests. I might need to starting attaching a disclaimer to any and all posts made during a contest.

Haha fair enough. Totally understandable. It's why I censor my posts during games as well.

after some time to recover i feel really good about winning last night as ugly and stressful as it was. A LOT of things to clean up physically and mentally and glad we have a bye week to get healthy and look for ILB help

Forget how this play was terrible or that player screwed up. This team came together in the second half and won against a ranked opponent.

I think we'll look back on this game and learn it was the season defining game for us, like Pitt last year.

I saw some very positive things during the game.

1. I can't tell how many times Okwara was in the game. Seemed more in the 2nd half, but he played well on the line. Especially when he dropped back into coverage and disrupted a pass. Also got good pressure. He was one of my early favs and glad to see him making it in.

2. Onwualu was very good in ST and I saw him blow some people up blocking as a WR.

3. Luke looked solid.

4. I love Cam.

5. CRob is going to be really good.

All I want is for the Stanford game to matter - i.e. we're both playing for a BCS bowl shot. Then, with our defense, we'll certainly have a shot. That's all you can ask for.
But first, get healthy and go beat USC.

I think going into this season just about all of us would have taken 9-2 heading into Stanford. Got to play well against SC, but we've got a great, great shot to win the next 5.

IMO we get by SC and we're winning the next four after that by 20+, our schedule was so front-loaded we should be able to cruise through Air Force, Navy, Pitt, and BYU.

Tier Three - OSU, USC, Wazzu, Arizona

Oh I see, yeah, it is pretty insulting that people think ASU is a good team if it beats us but a bad team if it doesn't. That's the way it goes, I guess. Hopefully we win out and prove something to a few people this year.

Pitt and BYU have good defenses, odds are Tommy scores a few for the bad guys in one, if not both of those games. Those will both be brawls and have a hard time seeing us score more than 20 on either.

I am most encouraged by our defense stepping it up, granted part of that may be actually PLAYING WITH A LEAD and being able to pin our ears back on pass rush.

Shembo played some inspired ball after Grace went down. Saw him holding his hand while trainers were all over him on the field, sounds like they were pretty tight. His passion seemed contagious too. That type of fire has been absent on defense all year, hope it stays lit.

Jaylon showed all five stars for sure.

Fun game, you could tell the kids ate up the atmosphere and had fun too.

For the record - ND delivered one of only two upsets of Top 25 teams this weekend. Auburn over #24 Ole Miss was the other one. Not that the SEC didn't do their best to provide their fair share of upsets.
