I can't watch the game due to work. Who gets the ball to start the second? And our ND's wide outs getting open and just dropping passes or good coverage by Clemson?

Well after the first 5 minutes I was feeling realllllllly bad. Though if you would have told me at that point that we would got to halftime just down 11 I would have taken it in a heartbeat. I was starting to get flashbacks to the 2012 NCG.
What we need is for Kizer to calm down. Honestly we've played better in the second half all season so if that can continue we have a chance. We won't win with Kizer slinging it 45 times though so we need to find a way to get the ground game going. The defense finally calmed down and hopefully they can keep us in the game and let our offense get something going.
I'd honestly like to see a long drive where we methodically march down field and score. Keep moving the chains and taking the crowd out of it a bit.A quick score would be nice. Just give Clemson something to thing about because right now they gotta be feeling pretty confident.
We do. Combo of drops and Kizer misses. Clemson secondary hasn't been asked to do much.I can't watch the game due to work. Who gets the ball to start the second? And our ND's wide outs getting open and just dropping passes or good coverage by Clemson?

I would. ND "vaunted offense" held to 3 points.I would not be feeling confident if I were Clemson. Only up 14-3 after that start. The Irish are leaving big plays on the field, sooner or later we'll hit one.

He was wide open because Kizer stared right the whole time. He is a freshman, we can't expect him to mess with safeties like that in his first road game...

If I was Clemson, I would live and die with crowding the box because ND hasn't shown the can pass with consistency in this weather. Our receivers look like average athletes vs Clemson's DBs.
Yeah, a freshman QB in his first road game and junior/senior wide receivers, one of whom is supposed to be an all-American talent.
Close. The running game certainly has been. Passing game showing more potential, but drops, misses, and penalties making it very difficult.Copy that. From what I'm reading it seems like the offense is a dumpster fire right now.
I wish Brian Kelly had a "decided schematic advantage" line we could mock him for.I would. ND "vaunted offense" held to 3 points.
I bet you do.I wish Brian Kelly had a "decided schematic advantage" line we could mock him for.
Hunter Jr seems to me the only bright spot.Literally every single player is playing bad on offense. It's almost semantics to debate who exactly is doing the worst of all the bad people. Kizer takes forever to get the ball out and it's often to the wrot guy, when he makes a good throw it is often dropped, our OL/TE isn't capable of doing anything in the running game... it's a team wide failure.

Even the best Qbs miss open guys. He missed to wide open guys by over throwing. That will get better thougj
