One other possibly relevant thing [apologies if it's already mentioned]: Clemson has a bermudagrass natural turf field. These are pretty good fields as I understand them, but if not tarped for the preceding rainy days can get soggy and tearable. I'm hoping that Clemson has had the thing under a tarp for a while, and has engineered a good slope-away drainage situation. In-game rain, however, should go directly down into the soil and make it too easily divot-able. I'll be delighted to be corrected on my understanding of any of this.



As to dshans comment .... if I didn't like him so much I'd red-bomb him. Ouch!

I would have thought this type of game would have given you a complete boner, Mike. Big Ugly's going all run attack and battling in the trenches under a blue-grey sky. Bottle that stuff up and start making blue pills out of it.

surprising how much better our talent is. Thought Clemson recruited about equal to us. If that 2012 class was like the other 4 we would be absurdly loaded. Kelly really has done a great job and it finally is showing.

Thing is he's recruited that well w/o really winning that much. Look at the effect of the 2012 national championship game run. #3 recruiting class and one Jaylon Smith. God if we can start getting a couple of 10+ win seasons in a row we really could start competing for a NC yearly.

we're pretty far, and up from the water. can't tell in the pic, but probaby 10-15 foot above water line and 100 plus feet of the water.

This guy clearly doesn't work for a living. Forgive my ignorance, but who for ND was popping off and why? I get swagger, but STFU and take care of business on the field.
