I hate the Oranges field. It sucks ass and I have never been there. I know people are talking about this being a trap game but I just don’t see it. W in the column.

I am a ND fan in NY. I also coach HS football and it is nearly impossible to go because we have a lot of Saturday games. ND in NY? Check. Weekend we have a Friday game? Check. UNFORTUNATELY MY COUSIN IS GETTING MARRIED THE SAME DAY

I can relate to this; my stinkin' BROTHER is getting married SEPTEMBER 03!

Labor Day weekend. You could've picked Friday. You could've picked Sunday with the Monday holiday. But no. They pull the trigger on Saturday with a 3:00PM ceremony to boot. If it's big noon kickoff I am curious how many people will have their phones out while the fourth quarter is underway in C'bus.

Told my wife there are 52 weeks in the year. We can find one of the 40 that Notre Dame isn't playing. We got married in June.
Smart man. My brother lives in Colorado and he came home for Christmas; of all the people he chose to vent to regarding the amount of shit he is getting from the immediate and extended family for picking 09/03, for some reason he chose me. I said: "You grew up in this family, you picked the date...what did you think was going to happen? Read the room." he got zero sympathy lol

The best part is, his fiance apparently told him "there better be no phones at the wedding reception."

...There are going to be phones at your damn ceremony if the game is close :ROFLMAO:

My best friend and fraternity brother is a big UF Gator fan, as he’s from southern Indiana and was a big Rex Grossman fan. No allegiance to ND at all, despite the fact that 3/4 of our main friend group are all ND guys. Fast forward to 2014 and I’m co-best man in his wedding, which he’s scheduled for October 18…the Florida State game. Both sides of the family are staunch Catholics and besides him, most of the attendees were ND fans. The reception was also at the KofC. Reception begins at around 6:00 and by around the second quarter, most of the reception has matriculated from the reception hall over to the bar side, which of course is packed with local Batesville KofC members watching the game. I did my obligations and tried to go back and forth as much as possible, but I’ll never forget how that one ended and the uproar that ensued and everyone affiliated with the wedding taking a shot together after the game and shuffling pissed as hell back into the reception lol.

My wife was cool enough to agree to a July wedding for two reasons. First, we’re both in education so it worked better for logistics. Second, and most important, no fall wedding for ND purposes. She’s a good lady. She came from a family of scUM fans and to this day the only hill I’ve ever died on in nine years is that she become an ND fan, bc as I told her; “I love you, but I’m not doing that ‘house divided’ bullshit—especially with a Michigan fan.

She's better for it.
My grandpa's neighbor is a huge Michigan fan. His daughter married an Irish alum, and now when the grandkids come over they're always decked out in ND gear. You hate to see it. I might feel bad, but whenever Gramps and the neighbor bet a case of beer on games between ND and the Skunkbears the neighbor always welches when Michigan loses.

We get Syracuse after they play a stretch of NC State and Clemson back to back, followed by Pitt, FSU, and Wake after ND. That's a murderers row of games if I've ever seen one for the ACC. Hopefully they beat NC State. Also will probably ensure that they're not overly up for the ND game as some teams are.

We’ll know a lot more about Syracuse when we play them than we do now. Their QB, Schrader, is incredibly improved over last year.
His completion percentage is 20+% higher than last year

Does anyone have any idea what time this game will be played? Gonna get tickets but if it’s a night game I don’t want to bring my 5 year old

The only FBS team they've played with a winning record is Purdue, if that means anything. UConn, Louisville, and Virginia have all been at the bottom of their divisions...or they're just UConn. Syracuse squeaked by those Virginia and Purdue games too. We should handle them, especially after they have to go through those NC State and Clemson games first.

I get all this, but strange things can happen at the Carrier Dome. I remember when Clemson lost to them in 2017 (that was a their peak) on Friday night at the Dome. If 'Cuse gets off to an early lead it could get rowdy. Need to start fast.

I agree, on paper, it shouldn't be close. FPI gives the Irish a 57.1% chance of victory. If it were at home, it would be greater than 80%, IMO.

I’m curious what the crowd is going to be like. I know about 10 people going that are going to be rooting for ND. There’s a pretty solid chance this will be the last time ND is up here.
