These OU posters sure are multiplying fast. I thought we weren't supposed to get them wet or feed them past midnight?

They hired two guys that were on the 1990 championship team. They both interviewed for the job and Enbree got it. So he hired Bienemy as his assistant. Both these guys were heavily supported by alumni to get the job. They wanted a "CU Guy". So while they do make chump-change, they put a lot of thought into the staff.
You were the one that brought up tradition, which as I pointed out, KSU has none. Furthermore, Bill Snyder's (while a fantastic coach) isn't known for competing for championships. This is really the best start his team has ever had. So call CU irrelevent if you want, but they are no more irrelevent than KSU has been over the last... well... forever.
In '98, if not for a couple fluke/crazy plays in the Big XII championship game, they would've gone undefeated into the national championship game against Tennessee...with a quite legitimate chance to beat them. Obviously didn't happen, but Snyder and K-State have been there.
Losing in a Big12 championship game with a title shot on the line is not "being there". If a loss in the championship game is their biggest accomplishment, that tells you everything that you need to know about their tradition.
This board even if you take away all of the Irish-talk (for them) is still better than the forum they are coming from.
OUMallen recommended LandThieves.com. It was decent. But really still sounded like a bunch of Miami fans not talking football and just talking about how bad they are going to stomp us.

I don't think K-State is a premiere program nor one with a rich tradition. Nor are they "there."
But no, this isn't the best start K-State has ever had nor has Bill Snyder not ever competed for championships-- he's competed for 3 Big XII and one natty.
It is pretty obvious to those of us that have been following Big 12 football, including Bill Snyder at KSU, for years that he has built a tradition of winning at KSU. He took possibly the worst team on the face of the planet and while he has been the head coach there has consistantly won. I am not certain any other coach can claim that, and to do it two times is rather impressive, Remember, he took over for Ron Prince who could not sustain winning there after Snyder retired the first time. He has won multiple division titles and has won the conference outright in the past and it looks like he may be doing that again this year. I am sorry if being in the running is not impressive to you, but to the vast majority of the teams across the country they would love to be mentioned as contending for a MNC. Behind coach Stoops i respect coach Snyder more than any other coach in the country. I know this will not change the way you think about KSU and for that I am sorry since you are obviously missing out on on something wonderful in the midwest. Now...back to OU vs ND...best regards Boomer Sooner.
There have been a ton of coaches that can claim more that.
- Tom Osbourne
- Howard Schnellenberger
- Bobby Bowden
There are a few off of the top of my head. Damn near every program has some coach that lifted them to relevency, but most of the time, that coach lifts them higher than division title. As I said, no disrespect to Snyder, he is a fantastic coach. But to act like he has built some tradition that is better than schools that have actually won real championships is silly.
Doing it by recruiting mostly from a Texas recruiting base already spliced down by Texas, Oklahoma, Oklahoma St., Texas A&M, Baylor, etc is. They have built up the program with mostly 2 and low 3 star guys passed on by all the big buys, and then go head to head and beat the big boys with those same players. To me, that is very impressive.
Obviously they are not a traditional power, nor do they have a championship to their name. But they are a force to be reckon with in the present, and could be if the ultimate successor builds off of the foundation laid by Snyder.

Good try ..but Dr.Tom Osborne (this is how you spell his name btw) took over from Bob Devaney who had already brought Nebraska football back and won MNCs, so Osborne did not build the program he just continued it. It is also widely felt that KSU was the worst team EVER prior to Snyder (see the link below) and again he has built the program TWICE. Your other coaching examples don't even come close to Snyder in this regard. Also KSU does have tradition under him and are building more, but have not yet gotten to the artificial standard that YOU have created to determine if a school has tradition. Finally, why don't you focus on OU and ND the game at hand because you clearly know nothing about the Big 12. Again best regards and have a good game on saturday...Boomer Sooner

**** Kansas State and Bill Snyder... Wreck 'Em Tech.
But why are we (you) arguing about Kansas State? Irrelevant for the most part, especially during OU-ND week.

Herbstreit said that for Notre Dame to win the offense is going to have to play at a level that it hasn't played at all year against an improving Oklahoma defense.
I think that sums it up pretty well.

i prefer soonerfans.com but soonertimes.com is very well thought about by the people there really not near as much trash talking and very bright people there. plus it has a way lower number of people posting which helps for intelligent conversation
I think he means KSU is irrelevant to the topic of ND-OU, not CFB in general
i agree, I think when OU gets to 17 or 21 ND is like finished unless the weather or massive turnovers occur.
