My concern is where does the offense come from? Will we actually be able to run on them? Cause Fuller won't be faster than their corners IMO.

ND's success isn't going to be determined by Fuller trying to run faster than their corners. It's going to be determined by Golson playing an efficient game like he did against scUM. The scUM game had nothing to do with Fuller running by people. It had everything to do with receivers winning their routes and Golson putting his throws on the money.

From an FSU website, but pretty sick regardless.

<iframe width="560" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/YZy05atU2fA" frameborder="0" allowfullscre<iframe width="560" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/YZy05atU2fA" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>en></iframe>

That video was pretty stupid..the voice over was awful. Sounded like a goblin or something I would expect from a lord of the rings character. Showing Winston while the narrative goes something along the lines of the duty to his people that he wont let anybody get in the way of or some dumb shit like that is kind of ironic and funny to me....sort of like the FSU administration or the Tallahassee police department speaking...

One of them isn't the same! One of the few times being different is good.

If one more person chimes in on my point, I will be pursusaded. ;)

You cited speed as a reason that ND might not be successful passing the ball, saying Fuller isn't faster than their corners.

If offensive production was simply about being faster than the opposition's corners, Baylor would never lose a game and the Oakland Raiders would have won the Superbowl three years ago.

FSU is going to be the best team we face over all. We found ways to move the ball against Stanford so I am confident we will here too. I think the crowd noise will have an impact on our O-line. I am not confident that Golson can break his turnover streak. I think the defense will give up a big play that cost us the game late. I really don't think FSU is much better then us but I think they make less mistakes. FSU 34- 24 ND. I hope I am WRONG though. This team has away of making magic happen on the road.

The same way NC state and Clemson moved the ball. The FSU defense racks up penalties and gives up big plays. We'll move the ball just fine. If you want to be worried; worry about their offenses.

Did you watch the FSU-'Cuse game Koon? If not let me tell you what I noticed:
1. 'Cuse moved the ball.... A LOT! They shot themselves in the foot in the redzone 3 or 4 times.
2. The moving of the ball was thanks to both passing and running the ball.
3. 'Cuse actually tested the FSU corners over the top a few times, and connected. Their WRs got seperation running GO routes. Imagine what ours could do?

Watching the FSU/'Cuse game now. First thoughts on opening drive: I feel like they run a lot of the same plays as ND and 'Cuse missed a ton of tackles. Hmmm...

AC is the key. He looked either limited or still adjusting to coming back from injury, but he wasn't his explosive self on Saturday. He needs be playing at 100%, or we need to think about starting Hunter.

Reading FSU boards they seem convinced that based on our defensive passing rankings Winston is going to pick us apart.

Wish I could say I disagree but I don't see us getting the pass rush to pressure Winston and he's a very talented passer.

I am not worried about the WR's like I am O'Leary and RB out of the backfield. In blitz situations, those seem to be the areas where ND is most vulnerable. Then again, none of this matters unless we stop the rushing attack. Really, it's about first and second down more than third.

Anyone catch Jimbo's PC? Very defensive of Winston and the school.

Couple of gems here. Guy is doing his best to make neutral fans root for ND this weekend.

I feel confident ND will match up well to stop FSUs running game. The key imo opinion will be to get pressure and confuse JW which is damn hard to do as it seems nothing rattles him. If ND does blitze, which I belive they will have too, than they needs to be solid on the back end, when FSU has weapons like Rashad Greene, O'leary, Bobo Wilson.... Minimizing yds after catch, which seems to be where Greene makes people pay.

So can ND pressure and contain and can the ND oline protect? Those are my points to the game that ND will have to perform flawlessly to have a shot (along with the whole DONT TURN THE FUCKING BALL OVER)

I agree. My biggest hope is that BVG can disguise the defensive looks enough to confuse their offense. Physically their skill positions are impressive. Need to take them out of the game mentally.

I think some of the looks we have seen can give FSU problems.. I'm not holding my breath on suddenly being able to bring consistent pressure. It's obvious but Golson must protect the ball.. do that and ND has a chance, all you can ask for.

My ND pstd is thinking, "Just don't get embarrassed in another big game... please?"

My football common sense tells me ND absolutely can win.

Can you pay the extra charge when entering the lot? I bought a booster lot pass online and saw where for this game they would allow people to get there early for a $30 charge, but I have seen no info on how this could be purchased and whether it is possible to do so if you are not actually a booster. Any info would be appreciated!

That's the lot pass my buddy picked up to and it seems that you have to pick up said pass after 5pm on Friday if you purchase the early lot pass the week of the game. Since we are both coming from out of town the day of we are gonna have to see how it works out for parking at 3 it looks like, although we will be in town around 9-10.
