Baffles me how inconsistent we can be on offense.. mainly Book’s performance.

Louisville is making him feel like he doesn’t have an option out there..

I do wonder how much of it is Book or Rees’ play calling.. It’s not like Louisvilles atrocious defense just clicked..

I probably oversimplify things, but teams dare Book to beat them and he rarely does. I dont think he'd start on most teams Notre Dame plays against

You would think that ND’s “dominant” OL would clear the way through that “horrible” UL DL. Why do ND reporters continually to underestimate our opponents?

The WR corps is doing him no favors by not getting open. Credit the UL secondary but why they didn’t “RTDB” from jump street is so typical.

That has been the strategy and no doubt will remain so moving forward. Tyren is definitely better than Tyree. Too many options for us at WR. Other than a bad drop a week ago I like Wilkins. Oline is not dominating consistently..

If you take away books crossing route completions he is probably a 30% pass completion QB. Give me a break.

I saw them vs G Tech and they were most definitely horrible.

Book looked like he was intent on throwing a pick...luckily his passes were so poor even the defender couldn’t catch it. If wind is the reason, WTH are they throwing in the wind?!? If it’s not the wind, why is he throwing worm burners?

So basically if there is any weather out of the ordinary this team crumbles. NC State ‘16, Michigan ‘19

I'm not seeing those kinds of throws from the Louisville QB

So I wasn’t able to watch the first half and am just turning it on. I’ll rewatch the first half later but is Book’s performance as bad as the stats show?

Never s n a team year after year play down to their competition like we do. Almost never a gam where we can put our feet up. USF is awful so we got one there but as Joe B would say “C’mon man!”

Kevin Austin should have scored at the end there. Claypool scores for sure. Drag the toe or just have better awareness.
I also don't understand how it is Lenzy can't get open. Isnt he supposed to have Fuller like speed.
Run the ball.

Clemson is gonna be one of those soul-crushing close losses like '14 FSU, '15 Clemson, '17/19 Georgia. We'll inexplicably play to their level.

Notre Dame hasn’t been able to complete a downfield pass for a year and a half. Makes them extremely easy to defend.

He’s probably the leading rusher. The DC is bringing pressure and the WR cannot get open leading to Book to be sacked. He’s extremely lucky he hasn’t thrown a pick.

The ND OL is far from “dominant”

The UL DL is far from “porous”

They're crashing 8 in the box to stop the run. There's 5 offensive lineman.... This has absolutely nothing to do with the offensive line.

The classic ‘ND WTF Game’ template would definitely have Louisville scoring on this first drive, and then probably have Book turning it over after that.

For the Irish faithful, that their team may learn to stretch the field, LORD HEAR OUR PRAYER

It’s almost guaranteed Louisville will score. A pick six by Book is in the realm of possibilities as well.

How would you rate responsibility between Book and receiving talent? I’d say 70/30 Book.

My God, Clemson put up 73 on GaTech today...

I’ve been kind of laughing at the ‘big matchup’ with that game all year,... guys, ND has a shot in that you have to play the game but it most likely will be a snuff film

When you watch elite offensive teams (Bama, Clemson, Ohio State, LSU last year, etc) play football it looks completely different than ND does.

When you watch elite defensive teams play football, it looks a lot like Notre Dame does.

Until Notre Dame overhauls their offense they’re never going to seriously compete for a championship.
