Hadn't even thought of that, good call out. Just watched the highlights for that one, our offense was loaded, lot of fun to watch. Of course,this was the year that Book wont he job from Wimbush mid-season.

RBs: Dexter Williams, Tony Jones, and Jafar Armstrong (although he was hurt for this one), C'Bo
WRs: Miles Boykin, Chase Claypool, Chris Finke
TEs: Cole Kmet, Tommy Tremble, Nic Weishar(had a TD in this one), Brock Wright, Michael Young, and even a young Braden Lenzy

Fun team

Interesting. I had heard they 'mooned' the crowd in nun outfits and that was the reason. But it appears there are some legs to the potato famine being used inappropriately being the reason.

Yup. Almost every pod features questions about which backups will get meaningful minutes in mop up duty if ND gets a big lead or how many snaps will Angelli get. That’s the kiss of death so this game probably comes down to the final possession.

The Stanford band isn't a real band by normal college standards. They're more like a collection of misfits they like to be edgy and inappropriate. They've been controversial on many occasions, not just at ND. Pretty sure they don't wear traditional uniforms, they have a tree for a mascot when they're the Cardinals, and they have a bridge to nowhere and a tower with no door on campus. Stanford is a weird place.

They are the Cardinal, which is a variant of the color red. But your point still stands.

I think it will wind up somehwere in the middle. They will win the game and control the game but it's not going to be a blowout where we see third stringers.

My Son asked me, "Why are they called the 'Cardinal' and have a tree as a mascot?" Only answer I had was, "Cardinal is the color of red they wear, and the tree is based on the redwoods of that area."..... he said oooookaaaaaay...

So I felt I did my duty as a Dad to explain my son the weirdo mascot/name of Stanford sports.... then he said, "But don't you have to be super-smart to go to that school?"... then I just shook my head and said - yup.

Son - "Whoever came up with both those ideas for the mascot must have graduated at the bottom of the class."

Me - "Yup."
