It's really not that hard to figure out.

UCF pounded Pitt
ND did not.

Why would Narduzzi say anything different? Based upon his game experiences, he would rather play ND.

On the question of who is the better team, Clemson or Notre Dame, Narduzzi: “Clemson, no question. They’re gonna win the National Championship. I love Dabo Sweeny. He’s my guy. I want to be him. I want to wear his skin. Notre Dame sucks. I have zero respect for a school I once wanted to coach at. I was too tough for them. But I’m not bitter, just a hardnosed guy. We beat Notre Dame this year, even though the score shows we lost. Go Clemson. When Dabo leaves for Bama one day, I’m gonna apply for his job and not get it. Period.

or something like that

yup.

honestly, if we weren't going to the CFP, I would not want to play UCF either (UCF with their starting QB). We've only played one O in the top 30 (total ypg), and that was Syracuse without their starting QB. I'd much rather play a bigger name. Lose to UCF and the jokes would fly. Beat them, and you've just beat a non-P5 pretender to most. high risk low reward.

Fun fact. According to my quick research, Narduzzi has only ever beaten Brian Kelly-led ND once. Brian's first season and the infamous "Little Giants" play.

Which was a joke, because there were two penalties on that play that the refs missed, which would have negated the play!

Pitt was able to fly under the radar into the ND game this year and keep it close. They pulled out every stop defensively to confuse Book and did a decent job of it for a half.

Way to make it impossible for ND to ever overlook you again, Narduzzi. This quote just made that 2020 a game a massacre before it's even played.

Highly doubt Narduzzi is the coach there in 2020. Unless they improve dramatically.

Even Pitt has standards Narduzzi isn't meeting.

Dude, Pitt does this every...time...we....play. Pitt loves the spoiler role, and we let them play it pretty much every match-up. How they ever fly under the radar with us, I don't know.

You're right, but they average 7 wins a year since 2000, and that number goes down if you go back to 1990. This isn't Tony Dorsett's Pitt anymore. They are one of those stupid city universities that share a stadium, can't fill it, have to bus students to the stadium, and are stuck as a middling program in a conference they jumped into (rightly I will add) when the Big East was collapsing like a dying star. There are no standards like the past now. Narduzzi has made them bowl eligible 3 of 4 seasons. That's one of their better stretches.
