While watching the presser every week, I am under the belief that Eric Hansen only moves out of his seat once a week to change into a shirt he has in the back seat of his car.

Kelly just dropped a bomb. He finally got why....He has been absent and hands off. If he plugs back in and kicks ass we change.

been saying every week something is wrong with Kelly. I think he made have had a epiphany. Very encouraging to hear this!
This is a trap that TONS of coaches fall into when they start to get a good thing going. Sometimes you try to let your coaches coach, but you're the better coach and need to take charge. It's happened to me honestly.

It's like how Derek Mason took over the defense at Vandy. What got you there was running the show. Don't stop just to avoid micro-managing or simplify your duties.

Kelly's best presser of the year IMHO. I have hope this Saturday now.

I think the D will be very simple and many will play.

That should never be an issue this early in the season. A college athlete can't play a whole game at a high level because he is fatigued? Sounds like a conditioning issue to me.

I would like to see this change. BK needs to show more positive and negative energy.

For freshman and some sophomores, this is a very real concern. It doesn't have to do with cardiovascular fatigue. Its the pounding of the game that takes its toll on the body These young guys are now being asked to be physical (tackle, block, etc.) players that there bodies are not used to. You always hear about workload or volume, it doesn't mean, can Studstill run up and down the field, 67 times without getting tired. Its, can he handle the rigors of what 67 snaps does to your body, and still be able to block, shed, tackle, etc.

The specific play pointed out was in regards to Studstill missing the tackle on the touchdown. As a safety how often do they engage in shedding blocks and in the meat of the plays on defense? Serious question. Looking at the stats he only had 6 total tackles.

I understand what you are saying especially if it was a LB or DL but does the secondary really get that physically beat up continuously like the front seven would?

No, but I'm not sure what that has to do with anything. I was explaining that it more than likely isn't his cardiovascular fatigue that is the issue. He's a 190 lb. freshman S. Longo has had 8 months with him, and he's expected to play 67 snaps against P5 competition. That's quite a lot to ask on all parties. That's what Kelly is explaining. Now if this was taking place with Juniors and Seniors, which some think it is, then that's the issue. This wouldn't be a good example of that, that's all.

don't forget though he is also on special teams....just because you don't make a tackle doesn't mean that he isn't getting blocked , running from sideline to sideline
