Can't wait till Saturday. Such a glorious week.

Assuming we get by NC, we'll move up minimum one spot (Aub vs MissSt), maybe 2 or 3 depending on OleMiss vs TAMU and TCU vs Baylor....

You forget to take into account how TAMU and TCU will jump us after their wins prove them to be among the best football teams ever assembled.

Huh. Just saw Ole Miss hasn't gone 5-0 since before the end of segregation, which from what I understand of Mississippi mostly occurred in the 1990s, around the time most of the state got indoor plumbing. A lot of changes in a very short window, apparently.

There's no way in hell 55 teams are better than Stanford.
I'd be surprised if they finished that low, but I think rankings should be about what you've done so far, not what people think you're going to do the rest of the way.

Haha, love how Colorado St. is higher than Stanford in those rankings. You're a good joker, man. Almost had me for a second.

The Colley matrix only uses wins and losses as input and uses Laplacian mathematics to adjust for SOS. It is sound mathematically but it also misses big time on predictive ability IMO and has limited (severely) analysis capability. That top 20 is a mess....

Florida at 19 is a travesty.....

Didn't realize that GTech was undefeated.

I checked out their schedule and they have a real chance to go into the UGA game undefeated at the end of the season.

I repped you, but also wanted to publicly declare my love for this post.

They also have a real good chance of beating UGA and playing in the ACC champ game.

#16's best win is against #60 (they are 5-1)
#17's best win is against #16 (they are 4-1 and lost to #12)

So, MSU beats the Huskers, Huskers best win is against #60, MSU lost to the '#12 team', MSU also beat the #52 team (so has 2 wins better than the Huskers' best), and somehow this model has Nebraska higher??

Maybe they should just rely on Katie Perry - I think she might have picked better than the ESPN Gameday panel.

The Shag gave ND a lot of love yesterday. There was a thread created to see what 4 teams would be in the playoff if it was scheduled tomorrow. Most of the posters had the Irish in one of the 4 spots.

You guys never heard of Shaggy Bevo? You make me sad. There's a lot of great MS Paint over there...not as artistic as Paint Like a Champion, but more humorous.

Ok. So do you call him The Shag?

Because yes we've heard of shaggy bevo.

But google doesn't correlate it and neither do I.

Ok, for future reference then, people on Shaggy Bevo call it "The Shag."

There are only two "Shags" in this world. One is a dance and the other is a euphemism for coitus. Maybe a type of carpet but let's all forget that happened.

Any chance the OP gets updated weekly? The thread title does, but not the first post that has the list.

IDK about you guys, but it pisses me off that ESPN has to make a note that an undefeated ND team would be in the playoffs.

Without knowing exactly how the season ends, a 1-loss ND team will 80% likely be in the playoffs IMO.... So quit acting like the conference teams can have 1, even 2 losses..... But we couldn't have 1 with our schedule.

Our schedule's not as tough as we expected, but it's still very solid.

80%? That's a bit generous. If there's at least 4 teams from the Power 5 with 1 loss conference champions, our chance to get in will be significantly lower. Even if our schedule ends up being decent, there would be quite an outcry if we got in over a 13-1 conference champion. Big12 won't have an actual conference championship game, but there's always the outside possibility Baylor would run the table too going 12-0. The only guarantees are if we go 12-0, we won't be denied there.

Baylor being ranked as high as they are is a joke. Granted, ND's schedule is turning out to be quit manageable but Jesus H. Christ, who has Baylor played? ND's opponents are have a weak 12-15 combined record while Baylor's opponents have an even weaker 8-18 record which includes an FCS opponent.
