Very real shot that Clemson is a 2 or 3 loss team at the time of our November contest. If so, you have to wonder if that would help our chances in any way, aside from the obvious implication that Clemson isn’t the team we originally thought they were.

Clemson already demoralized and firmly out of playoff contention? Sign me up.

Yeah who cares honestly. 11 or 12 wins gets us into the playoffs regardless of how our SoS shakes out.

Seems Prister is validated over his concerns with the Blue Devils this season. On the road, one game after OSU matchup.....and Duke is apparently good enough to whoop a team far more talented than they are.

Umm...yea. On paper, Clemson is FAR more talented than Duke. Why is that even in question?

Notre Dame, with their worst QB in 15 years, beat them by three touchdowns. Also, ND has beat them 2 of the last 3.

“Far more talented” feels like a stretch.

I'm talking about Duke.

Clemson is far more talented than Duke.

Per 247

2020: Clemson #3, Duke #62
2021: Clemson #5, Duke #57
2022: Clemson #10, Duke #51
2023: Clemson #11, Duke #56

Yet Duke still beat them....and Prister has been talking about how Duke will not be a cake walk on the road, after having just played OSU the week before.

My apologies. I misunderstood

Elko has done a great job there. Not an easy school to get the football rolling with the academics and a blueblood basketball program. Last night was super bigtime by Duke.

Been a while since this word has been in the CFB lexicon, but after last year, and now game one of this year, I'm happy to report that Clemsoning is back.

Clemson actually ran the ball pretty successfully last night, but they didn't complement it well enough in the passing game. The playcalling felt really clunky to me. They weren't drawing up effective PA passes or executing well throwing the ball downfield at all. Not sure if that's a Klubnik problem, or a Riley/Dabo problem or a mixture of all three, but what's made ND so damn good offensively this year, even against poor competition, is establishing the run and then complementing it with timely, deadly PA passes with pinpoint accuracy from Hartman.

He looks so comfortable in the pocket going through his progressions, even against the blitz. Even with the upcoming step up in competition, those are fundamental traits that are going to be huge for us this fall.

If ND plays as poorly and sloppily as Clemson did, yeah, they have a good bit to worry about.

Clemson also ran the ball well despite not being all that good up front and not having anything close to resembling a passing game.

Can we at least enjoy the Freeman Era a little longer before we start talking about his replacement already 😂
Yes, yes, I know. Just saying if Freeman were to ever leave somewhere down the road (like for OSU), but then again, timing is everything. Elko could be a few years into a SEC HC gig and not going anywhere when such an event occurs.

I'm a whole 3 videos in but I like this Josh guy. I agree with him and also respect Dabo for standing up for what he believes, against the direction of CFB. Every wildly successful person is quirky in a way, I don't get the Dabo hate. I respect him immensely.
