Hopefully since it's a rivalry game and may be a late start for maximum TV coverage, fans will fill up the stadium. This was The Coliseum on Saturday 20 minutes before kickoff of the Nebraska game.

Not a bad thing. Less hype for USC if they're not on prime time, and quieter/less intoxicated crowd. Hopefully we can just come out and crush them.

Exactly, lame teams don't deserve a prime time kickoff. Not only will their fans be extra drunk and loud for a prime time game, but their players will be more amped up too. I'm fine with a soul crushed USC next week at 3:30. I'm just not sure if a USC win tonight against UCLA will be better or worse for us. If USC wins tonight they're bowl eligible and maybe they mail it in next week. If they lose tonight, maybe their backs are against a wall and they come out swinging for the fences against us. I would rather coast into the playoffs without having a dog fight with possible injuries, we're bleeding players as it is.

I am glad we don’t have to wait until the night spot for the game. Go into an environment that should be pretty “meh” and take care of business. The boys should be amped up either way

Watches the entire usc game tonight. A good RB and some WRs. QB has some skills but will be sacked many times next week and I see some turnovers for us to feast on as well. More long runs by our RBs and soul crushing OLine dominance over usc which has been par for the course with usc ever since Kelly showed up (Robert Hughes in the coliseum in the rain). We need to break their spirit the way we did with Army tonight. Not happy about so many points left off the scoreboard last week and tonight. Our wins are more convincing than even the score.

I had this thought before their game yesterday. Personally, I landed on wanting them to beat UCLA so that they’re not fighting for bowl eligibility next week.
Also- they suck and we better run all over them.

I agree them getting their bowl eligibility out of the way is good for us. Yes it's a rivalry game, but 7 wins vs 6 doesn't give them much else to fight (on) for.

Sounds about right. Road game, rivalry game, USC has played everyone close. Think ND covers with ease if USC sticks with the back up QB

USC has been much better at home than on the road this year with wins over Utah St Wisconsin, Rutgers and Nebraska and the OT loss to Penn St. Motivation is the big question mark here and its anyone's guess how fired up they will be.
