The only thing that bothers me is that if your going to have a guy that makes mistake out there, might as well have the super talented freshman make them. Farley have been the worse performer, in my opinion, on this defense. Hate to say stuff like that on any player, but it's the truth from my perspective.

For the physical portion of his position I agree. But when it comes to lining up the other DBs and he lines them up incorrectly/calls the wrong coverage and the CB gets beaten for a touchdown because he and the S are out of position, then that would be a huge issue.

^This. Also, while Farely has made numerous tackling mistakes, what about times (I have no actual data or visuals here) that Farely was in the right spot himself as well which led to an incomplete pass, interception, sack, or just check down for 5 instead of 45. Little things that don't show up in the stat sheet could be what keeps Farely on and Max off.

Don't remember much of this but I do see Farley is listed as a #2 this week for Stanford. No doubt the coaches have taken notice of his soft play. Need a physical player in there for Stanford.

Right. As fans we see Farley's really bad plays but we don't see the good plays he makes that don't show up on the stat sheet or the telecast ... but the coaches do.

I agree, but the intention is to make the right calls and be in the right position 100% of the time based on what the O shows.

I heard the same thing earlier today but didn't want to post without it being 100% confirmed. I think they're out tho.

I've been wanting Redfield to get his chance to see more action...but this wasn't how i would have liked it to happen. Holding out hope that it's not true...we need the depth.

I am worried that Redfield WON'T get an opportunity to play more because of this. If Kelly and Diaco really don't think he's ready ... it could be Collinsworth and Farley all the way.

Shit. Well, I hope they have something to collect the subatomic particles of Farley after Gaffney blows him up. Gaffney's not very fast but he thrives on destroying weak tackles, which is Farley's specialty.

I'm more inclined to believe that if Hardy and Shumate are out then it'll be a lot of Collinsworth/Farley and not a lot of Redfield. Need all the help we can get out of safeties not only in coverage against their deep threat but for stopping Gaffney.

I am not too hopeful against Stanford. Without injuries, I think we could smoke them. As is, it could get ugly.

Has anyone uncovered a reliable source? I can only find it on UHND and another forum. I do not trust the info. I am really hoping that it is just crap.
