Do we have any indication on how many players were sick? I agree, Manti looked a bit under the weather. Nix was clearly stated as battling flu symptoms.

I think it was mentioned Mathias was battling the sickness as well.

Farley has surgery Tuesday on his hand, a lot of metal involved. Then back at practice next day after being put under for the operation. They showed the cast a few times during the game, I thought it was a factor on a couple of plays like the Graham TD where he missed a tackle. I didn't hear any mention of flu though.

Tough kid, reps to Farley.

I didn't know he had surgery. I just heard Kelly on the post game presser say Nicky had to fill in for him quite a bit. What did he do to his hand?

Any of you students on campus have some info on the flu situation? Is this something just starting or more tail end? Campuses in general are just a petri dish for cold/flu season.

FWIW - I feel real sorry for anyone carring for a 340 pound guy with the flu. I'm guessing they are still cleaning Irish Chocolate off the walls of the infirmary.

The game Saturday was its highest-rated Notre Dame broadcast this season, pulling a 4.3 overnight rating.

It was the highest rating for a Notre Dame game on NBC since 2010 (Michigan) and highest for an opponent other than Michigan or Southern California since the Irish played Penn State in 2006.

A friend of mine was at the game and said other players had to help Manti on the player walk....said he looked awful. Tuitt also looked to be very under the weather.

There are a lot of comments about the flu. I hope that's what it was, because Graham was a step ahead of the linebackers in sweeps and screen passes. He looked like the best back we've seen all year. He broke tackles, he outran guys and he juked tacklers in the open field which turned ordinary gains into large gains..

Pitt getting torched by UCONN. I guess their superbowl was last week. Their kicker hit the right upright from the right hash and they showed Sunseri shaking his head like a chump. I'm so glad ND pulled out that win last week!

Pitt really is garbage. UCon is kicking their *** and just smashed it in from the five yard line on the first try. Caramba.

It does and it doesn't. Win out first then we can state our case but there are still 3 games on the schedule for all undefeated teams. Don't fret yet!

Gentlemen, We HURT teams we play with this bunch. Who knows how many guys are walking wounded after our bashers ran into them for four+ quarters. "Back-in-the-day" ND used to do this to teams all the time.

I agree plus I think it's probably a case of them coming off of a good game and playing a crappy one. Happened to ND after the Oklahoma game and maybe a similar circumstance is happening to Pitt.

Could be, but Pitt's just not that good. They've lose to Youngstown State, Syracuse, and got smoked by Cincinnati.

Florida struggled with Bowling Green. You can have an off game and we did. Our receiving core is still young with a red shirt freshman QB. Our secondary is young as well. It is what it is, we have some holes, but we keep on winning. No one on here or in the world had us at 9-0 at the beginning of the season so let's go back to being pleasantly surprised instead of wondering how we're not kicking the crap out of everyone we play.

Now Go Irish!!!!! Let's beat the snot out of the Eagles!
