Booker has been a great recruiter but his coaching of the TEs and ST so far has been.... interesting.

#NotreDame HC Brian Kelly on 2 No. 2s on FG: "It was a coaching mistake. ... We got to do a better job. An oversight that can't happen."
This University was built on several pillars of values. One of those is forgiveness. If you want to disregard this value because of a personal vendetta, then I am not going to try to stop you. But I believe that it would be bad juju. We build credits in this life based on how you treat people. Pat lost some credits with some of you and I get that. What I don't get is why some of you are so quick to lose credits for yourself by not being strong enough to forgive.
The easy way out is to bash Pat for being a d!ck. The hard thing is to forgive. He made his peace, now its time for some of you to make your own.

I think Special Teams would be better if ND had more depth.

Give him a little time.
I was not impressed with Elston these first two years, but his DL might be the best unit on the defense.

Luck of the Irish!!!
This is an interesting topic, as I know it has been brought up on TV and elsewhere that ND did get very lucky with that missed FG, but on the flip side, Pitt was also lucky that Wood fumbled as he was going into the endzone for the winning TD in overtime, so it goes both ways. If he holds onto the ball and scores there as he would 99/100 times, Pitt doesn'tt even get that FG attempt.
If Cierre scores, Pitt could score a TD to tie. Game wouldn't be over

This talk of ND being lucky because the Pitt kicker missed the field goal--- hmmmm.... the game would have been long over had not Pitt had the "luck" of Brindza missing BOTH a field goal and an extra point. Who was "lucky" to even be in the OT?

How about lucky not being called for the same number on the field on the missed OT FG? Or that lucky pass interference call that wasn't PI by a mile. Luck goes both ways. We didnt get any of it last year, we are getting it all in spades this year.
It defiantly wasn't PI, but the Pitt corner did give Eifert a blow to the head when he was trying to get off the line and run his route.
Is anyone positive that the blow to the head wasn't what was called?
Has anyone mentioned the Pitt fumble that was ruled an incomplete pass? It was still 10-6, Pitt put up a TD a few plays later... The play was not challenged/reviewed but should have been IMO. Looked like possession and then a fumble to me.
At the time, I posted fumble in the GameDay thread. I agree with you but we apparently were in the distinct minority.

i know that last pi call was ticky tack, but their corners were abusing eifert all day and it wasn't called. so i think it turned out to be a little justice in the end.
but yeah, we gift wrapped that game for pitt multiple times and they refused to take it.
