Sorry if this was already discussed in that thread, and if it has mods feel free to delete this.

There are some rumors going around about possibly pumping music in during the USC game at key moments to keep the crowd pumped up. My question (that I stole from a discussion on twitter) is what song would you want to have played if there were 3 minutes left in the game and the defense needed a stop to win the game.

This is a good example...just listen to the reaction of the crowd.

I understand the sentiment, but don't agree with it. BC only uses it because of the Boston reference; our claim to it as the Fighting Irish has priority. There are far more ND fans in Boston (especially among the Irish) than BC fans, and I don't think we should ever let our irrelevant Little Brother dictate what we do.

Below the YouTube video is a share button, click that. Then there is an embed button, click that. Copy and paste embed info.

Most other video sites are similar as well.

Edit: There is also another way to do this, but whenever I try to type how IE won't let me post...It's because I mention things like right clicking the video and selecting "Copy Embed HTML" and pasting it and that causes some sort of internal server error.

2nd Edit: HAHA! By and "ing" to the end of the words I was able to get by the system!

Dropkick Murphy's obv good choice. I think one of the important things with pumping music into a stadium to get people fired up though is that it has to be something they are at least remotely familiar with and something with lyrics tends to trump instrumentals unless its an instrumental EVERYBODY knows. During a 2 minute timeout people are just going to scream "yeaaaaaa" for 2 minutes. Giving them something with lyrics they know and like will have people singing at the top of their lungs, which in turn is noise.

An additional detail from the Twitter discussion that didn't carry over here:

The ND media department is looking for a 30s snippet of a song to be played during a time out.

Snippets without lyrics (excluding anything from U2) will probably go down better with the traditionalists. Anything with a Celtic vibe obviously gets extra points.

I love the song and movie, but all the brass is very evocative of military; probably fits USC more than ND.
