That is awesome. Can't hurt the visibility to always be playing in prime-time. The downside is the fans are always juiced for night games for whatever reason and that means ND plays the toughest version of that opponent's road atmosphere. Bring it on!

I can't imagine it will be tough for ND considering our fans will take up 2/3 of the stadium.

This game will be decided by mental edge. There’s no reason we should fear them or be hesitant.

Sagarin's Ratings of October 20th, this past week, would make ND a 17-17.5 favorite on the road. That's a lot of points.

Sagarin has FSU, SYR, and NW in a cluster about a half dozen slots behind Southern Cal. Both NW and SYR will rise with their wins over Top 25 teams while USC and FSU will descend.

I think this is the most likely game to lose out of the last four. The OL better be prepared to take another step forward or this could be a long night. Need 4q of defense to survive this. NW isn't a worldbeater, but they will be at home, at night and playing with nothing to lose. The team handled VT, but there is more pressure here.

Problem is that Notre Dame doesn’t “scare” anyone. Northwestern will be riding high w/ confidence & Fitzgerald will have them all drinking the Kool-Aid. I suspect we will be tired of hearing the names of Clayton Thorson, Flynn Nagel & Paddy Fisher by the end of the night.

It’s the trappiest trap game of all time. I’m soooo glad they just handled Wisconsin, because at least that removes the “overlook” angle.

But after cross country travel, after Navy (body blow theory), and against a team that will be UP because every football player there would rather be at ND.

I was more worried earlier this year, than I am now... about this game. Huge talent gap, on the road but close to home, improving OL, we're beyond the yearly Navy triple option week, our rushing game is improving, and we have a QB who is incredibly accurate.

Their D is just decent, so I don't see them being able to shut down either phase of our O.

Their O is almost as unbalanced as Navy, just on the opposite spectrum. They are good passing the ball, but they are bottom 10 in the nation rushing. I think our DL and DBs will manage very well.

What has some ND fans & haters assuming NW is horrible is b/c they lost to Duke & Akron. NW is notorious for droppping bad losses early in the season and then ruining contenders’ season w/ the upset in the latter part of season.

Thorson is the type of QB that will drive a defense crazy. Despite returning earlier than scheduled from his ACL surgery, he can still move the sticks w/ his legs and will likely run tempo so as to avoid ND’s edge rushers.
