Yeah, Navy gave my U of T Rockets all they could handle two weeks ago. And then they beat Pitt last week.

I remember the days when we REALLY had to worry about this game, you know, when Weis was here. I think Kelly figured it out after that first year. I would not be surprised if it is close, but that's not an indictment on Kelly in the least. Navy gives people fits...that what they do. Ball control, take you out of your routine. The beat an IU team that scored 600 pts on Michigan...so let's not discount them, but at the same time, this is a game that we should win.

Navy was bad the last few years. When navy had good teams they either beat us like in 09, and 2010 or it was close like in 08. I think this Navy team is better than last years and we might have our hands full this year. When we overlook Navy we get upset and I just hope go in taking them just as seriously as we did our other rivalry games and I hope we can put a hurt on them like we did the other service academy but I just think this one may come down to the end hopefully not. Hopefully we get an early two score lead and take them out of their game.

You can't be serious... we are 46-4 against them over the last 50 years and have beat them by over 40 the last two meetings. This, for all intensive purposes, should be a complete blowout.

It should Im just saying I think this team is better than a lot of people here are giving them credit for and we may have a dogfight on our hands come saturday. Hopefully its a replay of last week with a blowout score but I feel like this Navy team is a better team and can maybe give us more fits than AF or than they have the last two years.

Navy is capable of giving anyone trouble due to their unique offense. Not only is it out of the ordinary and completely different than what teams see all year, but they simply grind teams into frustration with their repetitiveness in running it over-and-over with simple, small tweaks occasionally; a midline QB iso here, a reverse pitch there, a PA pass occasionally.

The difference is, ND is going into its second week of preparation for the triple option, whereas most teams only have a single week to try and prepare for a totally different game.

haha... If you want to keep your expectations low, I understand. But the reality is that we are playing a 4-3 football team that got their doors blown off by Duke and lost by two possesions to Western Kentucky. It's also a team that we have a 90%+ winning percentage over the last 50 years and have blown out by over 40 points the last two meetings.

Rest easy, my friend. This is a game to drink tequila with, as you know happiness is all that is forthcoming.

tequila is what I had to much of on my 21st bday a few years ago and kept burping it up the next day...no thanks. I can see your side I also see us as a team that had to make a miracle comeback against a lousy Purdue team so sorry to the guys who are annoyed with this but ...they make me nervous.

So, I may have a couple tickets to the game Saturday that I have no idea what I'm going to do with. My buddy and his gf can't make it. Not sure I want to scalp 'em....the tickets I mean :laugh:

Anyone going to be in the South Bend area Saturday or able to get there? Maybe I'll give 'em away tomorrow in a contest or something. You know, in case someone wants to watch the Irish beat Navy in the rain.
