I have to argue that the bolded is not a very educated statement.

Clemson won but they were far from the better team that day. Trevor did go down with a neck or head injury in the first half and Syracuse was putting the juice to them before he went down. It took some terrible calls by the officials and a lucky pass by there 3rd string qb (Kelly Bryant quit the team that week because his vagina was hurting) to pull out the win.

They really shouldn't have won that game all things considered.
[4th & 6 at CLEM 48
(2:38 - 4th) Chase Brice pass complete to Tee Higgins for 20 yds to the Syrac 32 for a 1ST down]

I wasn’t speaking on the fact that Clemson barely won their game vs the Cuse. I didn’t watch that game. I am going on the games I have watched Clemson where they have looked very good. I was speaking of beating a team in the playoffs in general and didn’t want to use Bama because of the obvious and refuse to use Michigan.

Yea I agree they look the part. I just can't jump on board the hype train all the talking heads want to drum up. Then we do nothing but win and we're not passing the retarded eye test. Pitt will probably be playing in the ACC Championship game and they should. They were our toughest test and Michigan still thinks they should be ahead of us? PSU, OSU, MSU all overrated jokers.

I just wish it wasn't going to be ACC refs. I know...refs shouldn't matter but it tenses me up.

I'm less worried than I would be if Clemson had lost last weekend. If Clemson was a one loss team the ACC would do everything it could to get us out of the way. It actually works out fairly well. ACC has there team already in, Pac 12 doesn't have a shot.

If I read correctly, SU lost both of their starting corners and start two freshmen.

Two wins away from college playoffs and we're talking scenarios of how to get into NYE6 games. Let's go. Championship or bust.

Wait seriously? Is this recent or did it happen awhile ago?

I couldn't find anything to back up 2 Freshman starting.

The one cornerback, Scoop Bradshaw, was the starter earlier in the year but a true Freshman Trill Williams started against Louisville with Bradshaw coming off the bench. He did end up leaving the game with a wrist injury and his status is uncertain.

The other starting cornerback, Christopher Frederick, was injured at some point earlier in the year, but I haven't seen anything to indicate that he is out or even injured.

It's crazy that Dino Babers is 57. I thought he was in his 40s. I can't believe it took him so long to get a shot at a P5 program... I think he's got all the traits of a great coach. There is nothing anyone can say to convince me someone like Ed Orgeron is a better HC than him.

From Tim Prister at II:

Huge disparity between big plays allowed by #NotreDame and Syracuse defenses. 60-yd plays allowed: ND 0, Syr. 8, 50-yd plays allowed: ND 2, Syr. 13. 40-yd plays allowed: ND 5, Syr. 19. 30-yd plays allowed: ND 10, Syr. 24

Ms. Crusader's on a roll. Scored me another SportsCrack shirt... which I accidentally opened today. Oops. Last week it was the Catholics vs Criminoles shirt.

Is the SportsCrack owner an ND grad?

I don't know but they've been repeating old posts from here for years. If they had an original statement for a shirt it would die of loneliness.

I agree with everything you say 99% of the time. I also can say that what I bolded shows how what you stated Is like Lane Kiffin's fall into glory. I know a friend who knows a friend and Rich Rod has jobs because of the bolded's same scenario....

The BCS model was faulty. The CFPC is fraudulent and any Lawyer with half a brain would fight against or for.. depending on his clientele. It's all about $ and to sit and talk like it isn't about $ and buddies... ask Penn State or USC, Ohio State, shut.. ask Swarbick and the true ND fans how being honest went.

I don't think the Clemson game does either team justice.

Clemson completely shut down Syracuse's run game, and while Dungey didn't have a bad game per say, he wasn't great. No TD's and a pick, 250 yards on 41 attempts, and his ground contributions were minimal. That being said, that's against Clemson's ludicrous front 4. I think ND has a comparable defense all-around, but Clemson's front 4 definitely made a huge difference in stopping Syracuse's offense. 23 points allowed isn't genuine either, as 10 of them came off of turnovers.

Also something that probably has to be factored in is the distraction factor. If there was ever a week for Clemson to go down in the regular season, it was that week. The whole Kelly Bryant fiasco was a mess, and it's practically a given that Clemson's preparation was sabotaged by that whole fallout taking place. Combine that with a true freshman making his first ever start, and then going down before halftime and having to bring in a guy who probably got zero legit reps in the offseason, it's no surprised they struggled to pass it at all.

I've been asking that same question for years. Whoever is running that company certainly seems to either be an ND fan or they have their ear close to the program. They had a "Burn the Boats" shirt one year, and one saying "My people will get you." Those are just a few examples. I'm wearing a "Tailgate Like a Champion Today" shirt of theirs as we speak, I've bought probably 7 of their shirts over the years, love 'em. I even have a Reesus shirt. In any case, my money is on the owner being an Irish fan, they seem like good people.

[EDIT] Ha, I just saw this one!
