Why does this sound like a guy trying to rationalize his humiliation kink?

"Maybe I go out on the field and show my bare bottom. Maybe Marcus paddles it. Would I like that? No, of course not. But it wouldnt be the worst thing. If it's not conference, it doesn't count. It's like I was saying to my wife's boyfriend the other day..."

*Context was we have beat them 103 - 10 in the last two games

What a weird thing to say. A simple: "every game is a must win, though we still control our destiny in the conference, regardless" is all he needed there.

It's interesting that this is what he's saying publicly. I honestly don't know if I buy that.

Narduzzi Hyped up ND his entire Presser. I guarantee he's playing the "no respect still" card, and "no one believes we have a shot" card. Nard absolutely wants to win this game probably more than any this season. Now, would he trade a loss to ND and a win vs Miami and Tech, absolutely.

Pitt is going to be ready. They're going to attack us offensively just like USC did, they have the playmakers outside and a good QB to do that. We need to slow the run down with 6 like we did vs USC, and Gray needs to come ready to play.

On D, they are NOT going to play us like USC with double high safety. They are going to try to stop the run with 7 mainly, and bring an 8th in when our formation dictates it.

Also, I will most likely be at the game. So, i'd really like a great performance!

They do? I just don't see how their top two are even close to the same level as Lemon and Lane

If they put their corners on an island with only one safety over the top, Carr will throw for 350 yards. Would be a gigantic mistake on their part

Sooooo refreshing to have confidence in a capable QB.

IMO they have 2 WRs better than Lane but not as good as Lemon.

Our offense struggled the most vs Boston College. ND didn't make them pay early and often enough for loading up against the run.

Teams know ND will still try to run into a loaded box. ND will keep doing it to keep them honest and try to hit a big one. The key for ND is to not have so many OL/TE mental mistakes and whiffs where free rushers are hitting our rbs 3 yds behind the LOS. We're not going to break every run, but we can't have a bunch of negative/no gain runs like we did vs BC and Navy. I'm very confident Pitt will play a lot of 7 man boxes vs ND with a single high safety normally, not always, but a lot.

Love's run is incredible vs Navy but look at all the Oline/TE mistakes on that play. It's alarming. If we can clean that up, this offense gets rolling because Pass Pro has been elite.

I've wondered to myself if they will continue that approach against Pitt or will they audible out more frequently to a pass when facing a "loaded box". My assumption is that they will continue to "hold the line".

I take absolutely zero away from that BC game. It was a sleepy afternoon game against a 1 win team, coming off a bye week, two weeks removed from one of the most emotional rivalry games you'll ever be a part of. They'll be ready to go vs Pitt just like they were against Navy.

Don't get some of the commentary. Pitt and Narduzzi very much dislike us. They are not a bad team. This should be a brawl and we need to be ready and disciplined. In a way, this is sort of OUR most important game.

I've moved on from the BC game. What ND showed against Navy proved BC was a one off.

ND still has to show up ready to execute against this Pitt team. They're very good against the run. They're playing well, have a good kicker and have a lot of confidence with this QB.

Absolutely cannot sleepwalk through this one.

Pat's comments make we wonder if he'll "rest some guys" for an excuse and to teach ND a lesson about "being irrelevant" lol

Heintschel has only completed 9 deep balls all year. He’s thrown 4 INTs while doing so. The one close to average defense they have played in FSU he threw it short to RBs on half his attempts. He is near the top in short passes in the country, Maiavia near the bottom.

Would be surprised if airing it out deep ala USC is the game plan.

Just saw it was already posted, here was the video. Didn't show the context Dale mentioned, but it makes more sense in that light.

Still a really weird comment. Is he afraid of giving us bulletin board material? Trying to lure us into a false sense of security?

I’m optimistic re Hinish. Seems like our concussion guys are never cleared between Sat and Monday, but usually are between Mon and Thursday

I believe they’re in protocol for one week & that puts him being out of it by Thursday. So if he’s good to go by then, he’ll hopefully be available.

So he’s inadvertently saying that by being in a conference, they can take their foot off the gas when playing OOC foes. Must be nice. He’s so full of shit & insecure.

They don't, no way. I can confidently assert this without looking it up because no team in the country has two guys like Lemon and Lane outside of OSU and maybe aTm.

Narduzzi is just a prick. It would seem to me if he wanted to avoid giving us bulletin board material, basically dismissing us and telling us we ain't shit to him is not the way to go.

but people on social media are saying that they have a bad secondary so if they load the box to stop the run CJ could have huge day like a 3 td and 300 plus yds passing day
