Hoping the weather stays seasonal. When FSU came to ND for the epic matchup in ‘93, it was a balmy 60 degrees.

Yeah they announced it a while ago, ND/NBC always post the times before the first week. I think they were anticipating this being a much bigger game, but obviously FSU has been very disappointing.

I'm happy it's a night game for the temperature being as low as possible, as previously pointed out, and BK has been very good in night games at home.

Get hype.

Guess I better take my gloves.

Yeah, I was gonna go, but for that price, and thinking about my warm couch and fridge full of beer...I decided I'll watch on the tube.

Plus I just got back from a road trip to Lambeau. Bank account's a little sore.

I might regret it come game time, we'll see.

Give it to me cold. Let me see my breath. Big league cold weather crowd energy.

Has it always been scheduled as a night game and I just missed it?

Average November temps are 49H/34L, so it will probably upper 30's around game time. Seminoles will be huddled around a propane heater.

Apparently. Clashmore Mike has had it as a night game since 1/18/18 when he opened this GameDay thread.

Why didn't he post it sooner? Never looked that close to the schedule. Just assumed senior day in November would be a day game. Better take some schnapps along with the gloves.

I don't think FSU has truly figured out their OL problems.

Miami practically camped out in their backfield, and they only managed 200 yards of offense. The only reason they were winning that game in the first place was that Miami's offense was almost as horrible as their's.

As for their game against Wake, Wake's defense is awful and injury plagued. We saw firsthand. Even after an abysmal start to the game and it being Book's first start of the season, ND still torched Wake's defense.

FSU is easily the game I'm least worried about from an offensive perspective. Defensively, their probably the game I worry about most.

I was kind of hoping that FSU was still losing games at an epic pace and by the time they got to SB there would be no fight left in them. We need to get up on them real quick and dominate the first quarter - if ND does that, with it being fairly cold, FSU may just roll over and let Book and crew score on them at will.

The thing that worries me the most against these upcoming teams, especially FSU, NW, and USC, is that they are all well outside of their conference races. Knocking off uNDefeated could be a season defining win.

FSU is a mess offensively, but they still have 4 and 5 star athletes all over the field. I'm worried what could happen if they put together 4 complete quarters.

FSU has nothing at OL and LB. Their DL can be ok. They have talent in places (at skill positions), but where they don't, they are horrid, not even serviceable.

Also, Francois is a moron, but a sort of talented moron. Taggart's offense is over his head, so they've had to dumb it down to get anything working. He doesn't ever actually "read" in an RPO. They cannot run block, so they end up passing to move the ball with any sort of consistency and it's all simple 1 or 2 target checks on pass plays. Bama fucked his leg up pretty good, too, so he is not a reliable weapon out of the backfield.

To now, they've beaten: Samford (FCS - almost lost to them)
NIU
Louisville (if Jawon Pass could hit a wide open receiver, UL would have won by a couple dozen points)
and Wake (played terrible football in 1Q, then ended up winning by 21).

ND should be favored by like 21 or 24 in this game, especially if Clemson boat races them this weekend.

That’s pretty much every week for the Irish.

I don't care how poor their execution or what their record is, FSU is loaded with talent. Always. If they can put it together for one night, they're certainly capable of beating us. Need to get out to an early lead and demoralize them. Ideally it's cold, too.

Having grown up in Florida myself, I really think weather can play a huge role. If it’s cold, we will roll them. Just like the bowl game against Miami.

And Soldier Field in 2012

Those kids looked like they wanted their warm bus to the airport as soon as they stepped onto the field.

If anyone has a couple of tix for sale PM me. Our CFO went to his first game at ND against BSU and wants to go back and I'm not giving mine up.

After that glorious display yesterday, FSU now 2nd to last in the nation in rushing yds/attempt.

Guys, they have 668 yds rushing on the season.

Think it would be better if we came out in our practice Jerseys. I've always hated the notion that we need to bring out the green jerseys to get some inspiration in big games.

Considering how flat they’ve come out the past five Senior Days, they need all the inspiration they can get.

FSU had -21 yards rushing yesterday. They were out rushed by Christian Wilkins, a defensive tackle.

They suck enough that BK should be able to call that same pass that they called offensive pass interference on at least ten times for insult.

Problem is if we get a good pass rush going they’ll fall apart Francis is not accurate what so ever. Also they kill themselves with penalties
