What the fuq?

The fact that they're STILL changing back and forth on who that penalty was actually on is very telling that they know it was the wrong call. This is at least twice now that the ACC has announced who the penalty was actually on and both times they've changed the player: Procise to Fuller back to Procise. It's a huge kick in the balls to ND.

Would love to hear what kmoose has to say now about The Call...

I don't mean this in a snarky or prick manner but that came out last week. The call on the field was against fuller. It was called on the broadcast as on Procise. The next day (sunday) Kelly announced that the penalty was indeed on Fuller per what they announced on the field. On Monday or Tuesday of last week the ACC made an announcement that they had changed the call to Procise and they admitted to missing the unsportsmanlike conduct. PJ williams taking off his helmet after the play.

I hope some pundits point this out. I mean, they were agreeing that the call was correct on Fuller. If that was their opinion, then even the most die hard apologists should eat crow on this.

I didn't see that. Doesn't change how appalling it is though, whether it was said last week or today. Appalling either way.

I was intrigued by Kelly's comments on Hardy. Sounds like he's not cleared to play yet, but Kelly left open the possibility. Observers on Twitter speculated that Hardy's punishment from the Honor Committee might have rendered him academically ineligible; if that decision is being appealed, that would provide the possibility for Hardy playing this year at some point. We could really use him, but I'm not going to hold my breath.

I know they changed it, but are you sure this isn't a second change? Why would it get brought up again when that announcement was made two Sunday's ago? I've been under the impression that the original call was on Procise, the ACC changed it to Fuller, and now changed it back to Procise. Is that not correct?

No, I know I was just pointing out that we went at it for quite a few days in two other threads about how bad they F'd that call up.

I'm pretty confident that what Kelly said on the Sunday presser was that the call on the field was on Fuller but the broadcast stated Procise. On monday or Tuesday the ACC announced that the call was changed to Procise as well as admitted to Fing up the unsportsmanlike conduct call.

I locked myself away from IE for a few days after the loss in order to stay off the banned list.

I know when I can't be trusted to post here. lol

See... i'm really screwed up now. I thought the broadcast called it on Procise (I would swear on this), then on Saturday BK said that they told him it was actually Fuller. That's also what I seem to recall pundits pointing to when they would talk about it. Then today, BK said that it was, in fact, on Procise.

Am I missing something or did none of that happen?

To the Navy hangover effect...teams are 2-5 week after playing Navy this year, with only Temple (beat an FCS Delaware) and Rutgers (beat Tulane) have wins. This also includes Ohio State losing to Virginia Tech.

Ok. I'll believe you. Just seems so long ago and odd to me that it got tweeted again.

The ref clearly called it on Fuller ... I was DVRing the game and I went back and watched it again, and he clearly said #7. I had no idea why Herbie thought it was on Prosise at the time. But then the official game record has it on Prosise. So I could never figure it out.

The official on the field called it on #7

Herbstreit took it upon himself to point out that Prosise was "all out blocking the defensive player". His call of the game led everyone to believe the call was on Prosise when, again, the on the field call was on Fuller.

The ACC stats for the game have shown the call as being called on Prosise.

I'm with you. I think the ref announced Fuller but Herbie said Procise. Then BK got the call that it was Fuller. Now they're saying Procise. That's my recollection anyways.

I think it's as simple as BK was asked a question and he answered it. I haven't listened to the presser, but my guess is BK didn't even want to discuss FSU or "the call".

Aside from the cut block comment, I found the waiting on Hardy comment most interesting. An appeal didn't come to mind, I should think they'd be through that considering the other participants. I was thinking ND's awaiting NCAA's nihil obstat to preclude any ineligible player issue.

You are correct, that is the way it happened. This is apparently their second flip flop after the game.

All I was pointing out guys is that in fact the ACC came out last week to say it was on Procise. What BK said today isn't anything new.
