I have a feeling that Elijah Hood fell in love with Notre Dame and knew that was where he wanted to go very early. His parents initially may have been a little reluctant because of the distance so Elijah out of respect for them slowed things down and kept a low profile until he could get his parents to see Notre Dame and what it represents and stands for. Once his parents saw and understood and were comfortable with him coming to Notre Dame, Elijah did what he wanted to do - unabashedly and wholeheartedly commit to Notre Dame. Kelly and his staff deserve credit for giving Elijah the time and space so Elijah could "recruit" his parents. I am not surprised that Elijah is aggressively "recruiting" other outstanding student athletes to join him at Notre Dame.

In 2015, Bryant, Folston, and Hood will all be in that backfield.

Rather brain-reeling, but how does Kelly get them the ball? {Sure, somebody may not work out, but with these three guys the odds that any of them are flops seems VERY small.}

Ricky waters, brooks, culver, Ismail , Johnson ....that was loaded backfield. I think Folston will be catching a lot of footballs as well.

USC front 7s will look like they are wearing ice stakes!

My man he is slot/wr

Yers, he iss. But did you see the end around in the spring game? They are going to bring the slot into the backfield as another hands on the ball kind of guy, here. I will bet my next to last dollar. Better yet, ask TP.

Word. Watch out for James Onwualu. He is perfect for the slot/RB spot.

He should've been at least 97 or 98 before the SPARQ camp. 247 is slacking abit on his recruiting. Should be a 5-star across the board. IMO, he should move up to 98 or 99. Only RB that should be ranked higher is Fournette.

Ok thanks. I thought he was rated low but i figured he would move up some.

I wish 247 would list him as a RB rather than as an Athlete (#8 by 247). If they did, he would be ranked the #12 RB by 247 (too low) and #7 RB according to the composite rankings (pretty accurate IMO).

I agree with you though, 93 seems a bit low for him and he will probably get a bump to the 95-97 range, but I don't agree with NDSean about being a 98-99. I fear my friend has had a bit too much Irish Whiskey this evening. :)

Nelson is likely a significant mover. Hood should go up some, too.

Hood is currently a 93 Rating
Nelson is currently a 90 Rating, #21 OT (lol).

I would expect Nelson to be Top 10 OT.

When are they updating? I can't seem to find it

The discussion is under The Dream Team article, Wiltfong said in another thread they are going to be updating "sooner rather than later". I'm guessing they will have a discussion about guys this week and update it late this week or next week.

Fournette, Mixon, then Hood.

I would agree with that. Mixon is a beast, but I think Hood belongs in Mixon's category. From what I read and what little I have seen, Fournette is on a whole other level, one of the best RB prospects in years.

Not true at all. Perfectly sober when I wrote that. I'm basing it off what I've seen. And I'm not the only one who thinks this. Rivals has him as the #3 RB in the class and 5 stars.

It will be hard for him to top what he did last year...geez the last two years (82 TDs and 5200 yards). Hoping he will get a bump but ESPN will give him 3 stars now that he is Irish.

Irish Whiskey, Irish Koolaid, same thing. I was joking. Tom Lemming also has him as the #3 RB in the country so you're in good company. Rivals #3 RB, ESPN #8 RB, Scout #11 RB, 247 #12 (if ranked as RB). I agree 247 is slacking as you said.

I'm excited to see what he can do in a spread offense. He basically plays FB for a single-wing HS team against loaded boxes that know he's getting the ball and his stats are still ridiculous.

I was glad to hear that he did well in the 7 on 7 competition...catching some passes and they even split him out wide a few times. In watching his Junior films I never saw him catch a pass. He's going to be a stud!

I just watched this kids video for the first time and am blown away. Everybody on the other team knows he is getting the ball and it doesn't even matter. This guy is legitimately Thunder & Lightning. My lord gents I can't wait to see this guy in blue and gold! #Irishbatteringram

Then why no note in his timeline or change in rating history graph?

Also, they've already done some updates.

I noticed this the other day. Hood was a 94 when the initial rankings came out. At some point they dropped him to a 93 but didn't note it on his timeline. It's not his "new" ranking.

I don't know but the Weishar, Brent, & Hood updates were on 6/17. ShakeDown posted them in some threads, I noticed it in Brent's thread.

Yeah, issue was with the timeline/history. And the display on iPad. I can now see the updates for Weishar/Brent at least on the graph and timeline. Hood still doesn't show.
