I hate this for sports, concert and so forth. The seat is valued at the same price. I know they will do nothing about it so there’s no point in bitching about it, but I think most would agree that it’s crap.
It’s just supply and demand, and pretty sure BC jacks up face value prices for Notre Dame games (just like we do for our big games). What are you, a communist?

You'd think ND would be projected to score 50+ in this one, but I do worry about officiating slowing this thing down considerably.

Weather forecast for Saturday looks pleasant.
That's a common thing each week for the Irish. The officiating gets worse year after year.

So BC is supposed to be incapable of stopping the run? Kinda like NCST? That tells me ND will struggle on the ground so CJ better have his head cleared like he did at NCST so he can light up the scoreboard w/ his passing attack. Doeren knew the Pack had no chance if they couldn’t stop the run, so ND adjusted & won handily. Gotta think O’Brien will have similar mindset. CJ needs to answer the call.

FWIW NC State defense is not bad at stopping the run. They are 11th in Rush Success Rate Against. They’ve given up a good amount of explosive runs has been their issue. BC is 56th and has given up a normal amount of like 20+ yard runs but has been hammered by like 50+ runs

BC is the third worst rushing defense ND will face this year. They are lucky to have played Fordham. Stanford is a bad rushing offense and they got over 200 yards rushing vs BC. Clemson did too.

BC's defense isn't good at anything. Pick your poison.

Their offense can play ball control pretty well with inside runs and short passing. QB Grayson James can run some. TB McDonald is a tough back who breaks tackles.Get them behind the chains and their screwed. Get a big lead and they have to eschew the ball control game and they are screwed. Avoid the slow start and we should roll.

The media continues to avoid it like the plague in pressers and when pressed you get reactions like Jamie and Greg had at ISD where they overly deny and say don’t ask even think about saying it’s something.

Yup. Glad the media asks questions about strategy expecting a real answer instead of asking about the putative injury status of who was supposed to be WR1 this year who has instead been AWOL.

Poison is a good thing? It's like 1988 all over again!

My biggest fear is the team coming out overconfident and flat after the bye week.

Iirc two years ago after a big win over USC & a bye week we went to Clemson & let them beat us ending our NY6 bowl hopes. I know 2023 Clemson is on paper better than 2025 BC but BC is our rivals because they ruined our season once before.

Yep, that was the most flat ND team i've ever seen in person. It was shocking too because it was against a good opponent on the road, and the environment was electric even though the game was at noon.

ND was incredibly flat in warmups and throughout the entire game.

BC simply doesn't have the talent. This is the drawback for these types of teams with the portal, any talent they do find gets stolen and nobody is coming in to replace it.

They have one guy on probably the entire team that would even have a chance at seeing the field at ND, not including the kicker.

NIU last year at least had good advanced metrics, especially on D, BC is just stinky all around.

That offense was so incredibly flawed and Porker was calling plays. I’m not surprised.

It's too bad (and I say this as someone who loathes BC) b/c BC is an excellent school that does actually care about academics for its student-athletes. And high school football has gotten better in New England, especially among private and Catholic school kids who also - one might think - value education.

They could/should sell kids on the degree and get them to stick for at least three years, develop them into ballplayers. Basically what we do (and what all the serious academic P4s should do). A little NIL would go a long way in that regard, but they don't seem to be in that game at all.

I agree
The ND effect - $6 get in SMU @ BC...$174 against the Irish

I love a little over 3 hours away from BC and was hoping to take the kids to their first game. Not with those prices lol. I may check the market on Friday.

Whatever PTSD people are feeling about 1993 and 2002, that's on you and your therapist. Put it away.

Boston College is not good. Notre Dame is good. Saturday should be a pleasant day, but in the end, you have the day you deserve.

1993 will go down as probably one of the top 5 worst days of my fanhood. Other 4 are Ohio St losses.

Although, the odds of us beating that Fla. St team again were not very high on a neutral field likely in Florida

What a gross game this was

Don't know if I'll go so far as to say that was one of the lowest points of my ND fandom, but I can conclusively say that this game led to a Top 3 hangover for me.

Was drinking straight out of the bottle by the end of the game. Proceeded to continue doing so at a fire in my buddy's backyard after it finished. The next day was absolutely brutal.
