;) Interview with Dave Brandon during the intermission:

"Panthers are doing pretty well; about 102,000 people in here tonight. Gives momentum to the team as they pursue their 12th Stanley Cup"

Not a good comparison IMO.

Miami and Phoenix are peas in a pod: huge transplant areas that the NHL thought they could capitalize off with the "Slapshot" approach (bring hockey to warm weather cities of retired transplants who miss it).

They forgot that idea only works when the team is doing well. It's very hard to stay vested, especially monetarily, in a fast food franchise when they are your secondary team anyways, which is the case for pretty much all the Panther and Coyote fans that consistently spend money on the team through buying tickets.

*And that's not even bringing up Phoenix and Miami having a large chunk of their respective cities population from a country that pretty much has never heard of hockey

Well technically its an old/new jersey, they brought back an older design. This was the one they wore previous to this year

Can't believe the season is at the quarter pole already. Kings and Ducks have had two really exciting games so far. The rest of the regular season series should be fun to watch. Kings really need to get Voynov back soon and solidify their blueline a bit.

Hopefully he learned his lesson and plays long enough to get out of this mess and set some money aside.

It's hard to even imagine a parent doing something like this to their child.

Well, I found it interesting about the entitlement families often feel with pro athletes and how common this situation is. If it was anyone other than a parent, they would have criminal charges filed against them, but the parents get away with it. Its sad when you trust someone and you get screwed like that.

Yep. Just brutal.

It's only a guess but I doubt this is over for the parents. It's amazing how fast fraud and misrepresentation are revealed when a creditor is about to lose their ass. They'll dig something up on these two losers. I doubt they're clean.

You're probably right. Especially since in a lot of cases like that, stuff can go Federal really fast! Once the feds step in, look out!

Like I said, I was never a Jack Johnson fan, but he was always a really good guy. He always seemed very humble and was always approachable. I wish him the best and hope he can resolve this soon.

Back on topic though Wild Bill, I am really looking forward to the Kings/Hawks game next Saturday. Right next door to ND/USC. Downtown LA is going to be a freaking zoo, but it will be fun!!!
