Yes he is. The only thing I like from Maven are his analysis and grades of the game. But he’s not a good writer (neither am I) and he often sounds like a disgruntled fan on IE. He’s basically been calling for Kelly and Quinn to get fired throughout the last month. Not sure why a beat writer would use his platform to do so.
Edit: Oh and he needs new sources because he isn’t connected to the program at all. Lax is more connected then he is.

It feels like it's a self fulfilling prophecy with him. The more shit he stirs up (like he did with Denson, incredibly unprofessional, IMO, even if the ultimate decision was right. Told Lou S as much in an email.) The less 'sources' he has. The less sources he has, the more shit he has to stir up to create content. He's been outed for literally going to other beat writers for info and then posting it as 'his scoop'.
Lax definitely has better sources than Driskell. In fact, I'm sure Lax is pissed that he and Driskell are in the same sentence, lol.
Driskell has sounded bitter, especially during the last couple of podcasts. I always appreciated his analysis of ND games, but his inability to not conversate so literally was cringe worthy when he was with Lou.
I like the new Lou and DeDario dynamic.

I don't know where to post this. But, I still (sometimes) watch NDSean45's videos.
This one is legendary and who ever is looking for a good laugh needs to check this out.
Mom....I'm going downstairs to make a video. I'm closing the door, so please don't knock or open it.
Pride and dignity? lol He makes it sound like ND & ISU decided to get together and play each other at some high school in Florida.
Bizarrely enough, Loy had the scoop on WR Jermaine Burton flipping from LSU to Georgia. Beat all their beat writers. https://247sports.com/college/georgia/board/19/Contents/note-on-tom-loy-140771920/
Whoever they get to replace Long’s spot on the coaching staff has big shoes to fill as a recruiter. He was arguably ND’s best out on the trail.
Saw that on Twitter. Loy also stated that most fans don’t realize how close Tyree was to choosing OU early in the process. Luckily, Taylor & Long got him to lock in.

Really? Wasn’t the wrap on him that he was a decidedly poor recruiter? Last years class was underwhelming at the skill positions.
Suspect that recent success has more to do with Taylor than Long.

Is it really that controversial? Book is coming back to the be the starting QB. If Phil grows that much and is flat out the better option than I’m sure they’ll be open minded to that but he’s the best option right now and not sure it’s close.
Did anyone else see Driskell's latest comments on Twitter about PJ and the staff ? Yikes

Even if every shot the staff has taken at Phil behind the scenes is true, his talent is such - and what he has done in limited action - should warrant them doing everything possible to develop him. Thanks for posting the quote from Twitter, I couldn't pull up twitter on my tablet for some reason last night, so I was going back and forth between my phone and IE.
Right or wrong, I am not a fan of Driskell being so defiant in his tweets, as if he is or has this inside source that no one else has. I always knew he was arrogant but I liked his analysis, now he just sounds petty.
To me, I read it as the "shots" were the staff giving him a lot of opportunities to take the starting position but he hasn't stepped up. The staff doesn't bring guys like Phil on board to simply ride the pine. The staff isn't seeing the progression in practice they expect. Otherwise he'd see the field more.
