Per your request, HCTI, here is a new thread. However, do NOT get into personal attacks with each other. No need. I deleted both of your posts.
On topic, i can see both sides. Watching on TV, there are times when the games seem like a library. Maddening. But i go to one game a year, always a rivalry, and the crowd for THOSE games are always amped. i've never been told to sit down (if I was told to sit down I'd probably stand on my chair just to **** them off even further), but I know many fans that have, and that's just b.s. Our section is always lively, which is great.
ND stadium is nothing like stadiums in the South, expect for big games, when I've seen the crowd get really loud. That's when the games are the most fun for true fans. Truth is...old alumni (from old schools like ND and Michigan) = quieter crowds. But for games against Western Michigan and Tulsa and teams like that, it sure doesn sound pathetically quiet on TV (and those super long NBC timeouts REALLY hurt the crowd noise).
Oh, and at least we're not the worst. 've been to plenty of SC and UCLA games, and those games are far quieter than ND games and never as consistently packed.
