The five-stars shine on Friday in Las Vegas

A few miles off the Vegas strip, some of high school basketball's biggest stars were shining bright on Friday.

Who knows, maybe Notre Dame head coach Micah Shrewsberry was bored on Friday afternoon and checked in on a live stream of four-star shooting guard Cole Certa of the Illinois Wolves. Even if he didn’t watch, he surely heard about the shooting display the future Irish guard had.
His Wolves team split a pair of games but Certa looked as good as 247Sports has ever seen him while more than backing up his No. 89 national ranking. Certa was good for 56 total points (33 in the opener, 23 in his second game) while burying 11-23 shots from deep.
When he arrives in South Bend, a big part of his job is going to be burying those deep jumpers and Shrewsberry and his staff will run an offense that gets him open looks. However, seeing Certa mix in some attacks off the dribbles and pull-ups to keep defenders on their heels was huge and if he can continue to improve there during his senior season at Bradenton (Fla.) IMG, then getting those open looks from deep will become that much easier in college.

Notre Dame men’s basketball recruiting continues to roll on under head coach Micah Shrewsberry. The Fighting Irish had a terrific finish to its 2023 class and is looking to make big moves in 2024 and 2025.

a reminder that I still find 247 (for Tim Tim and Tom - now John Brice) worth the money - and supporting a dying industry

Great to see Irish fans actually getting excited about basketball recruiting again. If they can add Nasir Mohammed and Trent Perry.....

3 players on the roster or committed 6-9 or taller. Is that even legal at ND?
