The draft lottery was rigged
I’m gonna assume Tatum tore his Achilles…
Someone needs to monitor Nico’s bank account too. He’ll be completely untouchable after this. I bet he got a nice little pay day out of it too.1000%
Adam Silver needed a new, young star to take over the team in their biggest market. He called the worst GM in American sports to make the worst trade of the 21st century. Silver guaranteed him the #1 pick in return.
This league stinks.

Knicks up 3-1 and Tatum getting a potentially devastating injury, worst possible news.
Knicks winning with that brand of basketball is just so bad for the sport, IMO. I'm not saying that other superstars don't get quick, generous whistles, but the way the Knicks and Brunson go about it, in particular, is despicable.
It's the same soft-ass game Lebron has played for years and now it's taking over the sport.

Hard to keep up with the endless conspiracy theories that infect every aspect of our country. That being said, David Stern rigged the Ewing lottery.here i thought they were just trying to move the franchise to vegas
You don't agree that Brunson is a foul-baiting softie?Don't agree at all. I am not some die hard NBA fan but have really enjoyed watching the Knicks this playoff and this sounds like some Pistons fan sour grapes haha. They play hard nose defense and are firmly middle of the road in free throws attempted per game. Mikal Bridges in game 1's overtime was a defensive master class.

Lmao, comparing Cade to Brunson's flopping antics is laughableHe’s doing what literally every team’s leading scorer does. No different than Cade Cunningham, Donovan Mitchell, SGA, etc.
Rooted for the Celtics for the first time in my life last night and Tatum blows up his Achilles.
Part of it depends on the style of bball you like to watch or have an affinity for? The game has turned in a primarily iso-driven, perimiter, 3-point shooting league. And, the foul-baiting, flopping, thinking every contact is a foul is mind numbing. Those saying the league “stinks” just don’t watch basketball. In fact, I’d go so far as to say you’re full of shit. And no, I am not an Adam Silver fan. Not a Lebron fan. And I suspect some shit is definitely rigged. But some of you have nothing to stand on. There’s been some excellent basketball this playoffs.

People can criticize something and still be a fan. This current era of the NBA is nowhere near as entertaining as the 80s (from what I've read/been told), 90s, and 00s.Those saying the league “stinks” just don’t watch basketball. Bingo. Those teams were so damn entertaining to watch.Part of it depends on the style of bball you like to watch or have an affinity for? That's personally not my preference. I love an inside/outside game, screen and rolls, a ton of ball movement all setup to create open, unselfish shots. The Spurs in the glory days are the last team I can think of that played that style of game.
I always say, the 2014 Spurs were an absolute joy to watch. Ran that Heat team into the ground to the point that LeBron bounced.Part of it depends on the style of bball you like to watch or have an affinity for? 90s, and 00s.
I agree that the style of ball in the 90’s and 00’s wasn’t as aesthetically pleasing. The NBA, like most pro leagues, is a copycat league. Jordan ruled the day with that type of game so others followed. Obviously the rules at the time also were also a factor.I also miss when the NBA was just 48 minutes of the highest paid player calling for an iso and jacking up a contested mid range jumper. Such a beautiful game.
The constant love on this thread for a period of basketball that was less skilled and less complex is so dumb.
I mean, to each their own. I think it's "so dumb" that people think a glorified three-point contest, limited defense, no physicality, and diving/flopping is a better product than physical basketball.I also miss when the NBA was just 48 minutes of the highest paid player calling for an iso and jacking up a contested mid range jumper. Such a beautiful game.
