I feel like they have a very strange lineup now. What are your thoughts? Who is shooting? Who guards the 3?

My guess at the starting lineup would be rondo, d wade, Jimmy, mirotic and sideshow bob. Grant and Valentine off the bench. Not a bad lineup actually.

That's probably right. I guess I don't see how that works offensively or defensively.

Butler is your best player and the ball will never be in his hands. Defensively he is a small 6'7" and I'm not sure he can guard the bigger 3s in the league. Like who in the world is guarding Lebron of those 5 players? Who is guarding Durant? Sure as hell is not going to be Mirotic.

Rondo/Wade are probably the worst 3pt shooting tandem in the league too. I just don't see this as a good fit.

Let's back up here... It's a good lineup, nobody is saying its a lineup that screams championship or anything. Ha

I'm guessing that they are hoping Valentine can produce. Not sure though. As you said, it certainly seems like a lineup that can score, but can't shoot threes or play defense. We'll see I suppose. Could be worse though.

I feel it will take a very toxic turn early between a combo of Wade injuries and the general cantankerous nature of Rondo. Butler will have to be the glue that holds it together, but he was injury prone last year.

Oddly, I think they will be a good scoring team, but a poor shooting one. Dougie Buckets is the only real sharp shooter they have now, but of course he is basically a Korver clone with a slightly better ability to create a shot.

Hoiberg is an unmitigated disaster. He neutered a tough as nails team cultivated by Thibs. On a positive note, the vets they brought in do have an edge that will help in that regard.

Guarding the 3 is a great question, and I don't have an answer. It's hard to find anyone on that roster right now you'd feel confident shadowing that position.

Bottom line: the Bulls were not fun to watch last year. This year there is an element of intrigue that is compelling at the very least.

To be clear I'm not being negative towards the Bulls players individually. I just think this is a very unwise decision by the organization as they now have 3 players that must all start that don't fit together well. Can't think of another team in a similar situation.

This wasn't necessarily to win championships, this was to get someone to put butts in seats while they rebuild. I actually like the lineup, it'll be good for a 6th seed in the east.

I would start Taj over Mirotic. With Wade and Butler scoring the bulk of the points, I'd rather see him out there cleaning glass after all the bricks.

Hoiberg's got his work cut out for him, but I think it's unfair to call him crap at this point. The team was a wreck and a horrible fit for his style of coaching. I don't think there was a point outside of the first 10 games of the season where there wasn't 2 starters out of the lineup on a regular basis. Noah missed most of the season, Butler missed a lot of time, Rose missed a few games and was total crap for the first half of the season, Dunleavy missed most of the season, Mirotic was out after his appendectomy and never fully recovered during the year, Taj missed a ton of time.

The Bulls basically have ND levels of luck when it comes to health.

Can't shoot the 3 and can't defend the 3. Smells like a Knicks move.

About 7:15 last night a national sports talk show was saying the Bulls flight got delayed and they wouldn't be able to meet with Wade until today. Sounds like they were fibbing to throw off the dogs.

11 points in 23 minutes last night. Also got the start and was on the floor to end the game (last second win).

As a person who lives in Iowa, and pulls for Iowa over ISU, it's perfectly fine to say Hoiberg sucks.

Any Bulls fans know if Cooley will make the team? He looked quite good today.

It's insane. Him and Saric should be fun to watch. Fingers still staying crossed with Embiid to remain healthy, but we're looking at 3 lottery picks making their debuts. Should be he funnest 20 team in NBA history.

Any commotion with Draymond Green is automatically a nut kick

I was kidding. No idea what happened, just he almost certainly kicked another man in the testicles, because he's Draymond Green.

In all seriousness, after the repeated testicular attacks in the Playoffs I certainly didn't have much respect for Green as a player. He was man enough to congratulate the Cavs after they won Game 7, and that was a big move on his part, garnering just a bit of respect for the classy move. I'd be interested to see the details on this assault now. Depending on his involvement and if he initiated the contact, I'd say he lost any of that small bit of respect he earned. Part of me now wonders if the Golden State front office didn't force Green to congratulate the Cavs after Game 7 to help improve his image.

Been a great career Tim Duncan. Loved the way you played the game.

If showing sportsmanship like a normal person, and not being a complete asshole after the game is "classy," we are setting the bar too low IMO. That should be the bare minimum. All is fair in love and war, but the second the war is over, grow a pair (no pun intended) and congratulate your opponent. You don't have to blow them, but I don't understand why a handshake and simple "good game" is too much nowadays.

Yeah, it was a sliver of respect for the way he congratulated the Cavs after the win. More than anything I guess I was surprised he showed any class after they loss, he was the last person on the Warriors I expected to take the high road.
