Sounds like Rolling Stone, New York Times, WaPo, and now the Guardian really don't want to put a stop to child trafficking and pedophilia.
It had pretty poor ratingsi seem to remember previously Clint Eastwood made a terrible movie about a train hijacking that had a similar good review bombing online as part of a wider culture war
It had pretty poor ratings

I haven't seen the movie. However, Angel Studios is a Christian based media company. I don't know if you have heard of or seen The Chosen. It's a pretty popular series based on the life of Jesus (Some of the seasons are on Netflix). That series has put Angel Studios on the map. I would assume - I know... - that because the movie is being put out by Angel Studios, it is going to have a fairly large following from the Christian community. Is this something with a poltical/religious bent? It's very weird to have never heard of a movie, it have an audience score that high, and the filmmakers are all people who have nothing to their name except some straight to vod duds.
Not that there's anything wrong with everyone consuming or promoting whatever media they want, I just don't want to start a movie and find out it's trying to convert me after 25 minutes of my time.
It's not a political or religious movie, but it does repeat the mantra that "God's children are not for sale."
That's as religious or political as the movie gets.
Yeah or more likely is that the only people who have ever heard about whatever that movie is are people that are already going to give it high scores because of it's message.
I had no idea what Sound of Freedom was, but watching the trailer it's obviously not a "great" movie, so seeing a 99% audience score is a dead giveaway that it's agenda driven in some fashion.
I don't know if you know this but trailers are made to give you a first impression of a movie."I watched the trailer and it's obviously not good although the audience of 5k+ is rating it perfectly"...
Ok then.
It's not political or religious at all, there is no current 'culture war' underneath it all... it's just a good movie trying to take real events to bring wider attention to modern-day human trafficking. The shame of them trying to do so,....
The pushback is pretty shocking to be honest. I can't think of any reason 'let's actually try to stop child sex trafficking' wouldn't be embraced across the board,... let alone pushed back on so hard. They must be scared of an assumed Angel Films uptick,…
I’ll probably wait until it comes into streaming, but it’s worth noting that two local churches rented an entire theatre in my town on multiple days to provide a free showing to the public. It’s a real grassroots movement. It's not a political or religious movie, but it does repeat the mantra that "God's children are not for sale."
That's as religious or political as the movie gets.
Gee I wonder why they need to clarify that? Lolif you have to say out loud,… ‘I’m not pro child sex trafficking,… I’m really not,… but,’

Imagine being such a foot solider you connect two unrelated things so you can attempt to ‘dunk’ on a stance against child trafficking,… this is strange.
It’s also strange everyone liking this or standing with this narrative has admitted to not seeing the movie,… anyway.
Welcome to IE,… let me know if you need a full,… tourWhat is with you putting commas before ellipsis all of the sudden,... Did you get a new phone,... Do you see how weird this looks,...
Welcome to IE,… let me know if you need a full,… tour
And those movies get written about constantly.Wow. Lol… No conspiracy theories or QAnon agenda. Lol. Amazing this is the knock on a movie when most movies are littered with Hollywood trash with their own set of issues and actual agendas.
As they should. And those movies get written about constantly.
How dare Star Wars have a gay kiss in the background of a scene! As they should.
If you say so, lol.How dare Star Wars have a gay kiss in the background of a scene!
If you say so, lol.
There’s a politics section of the page to complain and unpack your agenda.![]()
Disney’s Grooming Of Children Is Not New, But Their Openness About It Is
Parents aren’t just enraged because there happens to be a same-sex couple in the background of a movie. It goes so much deeper than that.thefederalist.com
Bailey seems like a joy.
