Hey, if you can't get Brad Stevens, go get one of his top lieutenants.

I like this hire a lot. Checks multiple boxes, in particular the run he had with Stevens in Boston in the NBA. That experience is going to hold water in terms of coaching acumen more than anything and maybe a bit on the recruiting trail.

For ND standards and what he wants, I agree. Notre Dame should do very well recruiting the multi-year guys. It'll be an attractive destination for those top 50-100 guys that know they need development and will be in school for awhile.

I wasn't excited about Shrewsberry at first, but I am 100% sold. I like this hire a lot. I think Brey could've recruited better in Indiana and I think Shrewsberry won't be afraid to recruit vs IU, Purdue, & Butler.

Kudos to ND for landing their #1 candidate.

Does Carey Booth want to follow Shrewsberry to ND??

Yeah, Brey really liked his East Coast guys. With Shrewsberry having such a history in Indiana, it seems obvious he will try to go for Indiana guys, but I wonder if he has someone on staff to also hit Brey's traditional East Coast areas too.

FWIW the 4 prospects that seem likely to be joining the ‘23 class would make this the #19 class. Pretty remarkable considering a few days ago we were looking at a class with just Burton ranked 73rd

who are the four exactly? I assumed Shrewsberry's son and Logan Imes, but who are the other two?
