So sad. Manti has had to go through a lot since being at ND, and I believe this is now a third loved one that has passed away since he came. Stray strong young man and know that she is in a better place.

Reports that his grandmother has passed away as well, very tough week for him.

Serious? Damn, That is tough man. Prayers for him and his family. I expect him to honor them on the field come Saturday. Stay Strong brother.

I have no expectation for Manti to even play. But if he does, itll probabky be with the force of ten thousand suns, a la Brett Favre against the Raiders.

I lost my father to leukemia 12 years ago as a naive little 10-year old. Even with that experience, I cant imagine what he's going through. I don't pray very often, but I will for him. He's an inspiration to every Notre Dame fan.

My condolences to the Te'o family. My thoughts and prayers are with them throughout this whole thing.

I honestly don't expect to see Manti on the field Saturday.

I've learned something over the past couple of months. It's probably always been in the back of my mind, but things have changed and I feel it more strongly. That is, family matters more that anything in the world. I use to put work first, but that changed after my Mom had a stroke. I thought I'd work through it, but I came to the conclusion that my family is more important than any possession.

I don't know. Maybe it has to do with getting older and figuring out what my priorities are.

Anyway, sorry for rambling.

Many condolences to Manti and his loved ones! My heart is saddened and I will pray for him. As far as football goes..., his family is more important right now. In the end football is just a game, but family is everything!

I think Manti sees the team as his family. His family will prob tell him to play, and I hope it gives him some peace on the situation.

Very sad for Manti. I think I speak for all of us when I say that Manti is everything that is good about Notre Dame. Just a great, great kid. And part of the reason he is the young man that he is -- is because of his family. So thoughts and prayers to them. They must be pretty special.

Also my thoughts and prayers go out to his girlfriend's family. So sad, especially for such a young lady.

Prayers to Manti, his family, and his girlfriend's family. RIP to his Grandma and girlfriend, they are in a better place now. I hope Manti does what is best for him at this difficult time whether that means playing Saturday or not. This type of stuff sure puts things into perspective.
