We need Stanford to stomp the Ducks and the prayer threads are a little over done, so I thought we could start a tree thread for Stanford? Please feel free to add a tree to show your support of Stanford layin wood to the Ducks.

Did you at least feel a little bit awkward when you typed "tree sex" and "tree taking it from behind" into Google search?

It didn't get weird until I realized that it auto-populated into my google search after the first couple letters...

Hey guys, Irish fan here. For obvious reasons, I will be rooting for the Cardinal this weekend. All the last two years does is give the talking heads protection for their useless predictions. CFB changes so rapidly from season to season, anything can happen.

In my opinion, the way you win this game is by running through Oregon's decimated defensive line, eating up the clock and keeping Mariota on the sideline. If their defense is able to force you into 3rd & longs all game, it's over.

Stanford is both tougher and stronger in the trenches. To vaguely quote Knute, you gotta run inside of em and outsite of em.. and when you get em on the run you gotta keep em on the run.. you gotta go go go go and not stop until you get across the goal line.. oh, and don't pass until their secondary gets up to close!

Seriously though, If I'm Shaw, I'm psychologically building this team into a freight train this week and pounding the rock straight at the Ducks. Break their will, deny them choice, force them to quit. They simply do not have the resources to stop POWER.

Win the line of scrimmage and the time of possesion and this game is yours. Irish nation would be most grateful!

Went on thecardboard.org and tried to be cordial and comical and got this in return lol.. thought it was funny.

Grateful enough to give us back a few of those homer calls? After our game...and BYU...and Pitt...you guys really don't have any shame. The elevation of Northern Indiana Parochial College is the ONLY reason not to win at Eugene.

What did you expect?

Lol.

You should have replied, "true, you guys are going to need a reason in case you lose to justify it. Bad calls may not work again."

Oregon's d is really dinged up. If Stanford's offense can power run it down Oregon's throats keeping Oregon's offense off the field. They have a great chance of winning. Back to your regularly scheduled tree sex pictures.

haha, obviously these Cardinal fans are still bitter about that loss, or possible tie in their eyes. Why is it they thought it was going to be an automatic gimmy win, they still had to kick the xp and then stop us and score in the next OT. With that last drive being within the 5 and them running up the middle 4 straight plays in a row, even if they did get in, the snap for the XP would have never made it for the place kick, it would have rolled back as a ball of mud and would have never left the ground.

If they control the LOS and the clock, yes. But they don't have the guns to get caught in a shootout.

I actually could see it happening. It's going to be 51 degrees and raining on Saturday in Eugene. The Trees were already going to go into this game with a gameplan of keeping Oregon's offense off the field. Oregon has SIGNIFICANT injuries on their defense (missing 5 players, including their star safety) and even have a banged up QB.

If anybody should know the physical brand of football Stanford is capable of, its us. They are going to make the Ducks fight, and they aren't good at that. The conditions, injuries and importance (a win against the Ducks most likely would give Stanford the PAC12 North) make this an intriguing matchup.
