I have cooled on Payton...get the impression he is a me guy. TIFWIW.
I disagree with this. Elmer visited Michigan and then visited Notre Dame the following week and announced during his visit.Steven Elmer???

Payton has already been to Michigan and isn't going to visit again, but is visiting ND and announcing after that trip.
So IMO they are different situations.
PS Thanks for the info GB
I'd rather Treggs or Agholor commit. I'm with youi am not that worried about it. Treggs can come if he wants as the slot guy but they are putting all there chips in for Agholor.

No, he's not. He's very good but IMO unless there is a decommit from 1 of 3 current WR commits I don't see room for him or any other non slot WR unless your name is Nelson Agholor, Dorial Green-Beckham or Stefon Diggs as those 3 are in a class of there own.Agree but Payton is no slouch
A Nelson Agholor is what I asked Santa for Christmas. True story.
Per 247 loved his visit, might be delaying his announcement a bit this week.
A lot of the current commits thought that after Saturday he would be the most likely to pop.
I definently would love to get him. He is a very talented receiver and I honestly don't see Treggs coming.
I think watching Rees and Crist (I know Crist is leaving) DERP around for 4 quarters doesn't engender much faith in Payton about the future of ND football. My guess is that he was impressed because, yes, it is a pretty campus with a nice atmosphere and the ND name still has some cache. But when you look at UM compared to ND, I can't imagine there is much competition.
I'm surprised any parent wants their child to commit to ND, so Kelly can berate them on national television. Also surprised that NBC is allowed to have the camera on Kelly after a bad play by ND. You'd think they would tell the camera crew to not show Kelly when he's in beet red mode.
Enough said. How could any parent want their child playing for that self-riteous maniac. Come to a place where you are treated like an individual and become part of a family the day you step on campus. Hoke's Bo-like tough love builds men. Kelly's raging antics proves that he views players as cogs for his machine, another resource to help bolster his career prospects. This is a no brainer Mr. Payton.

if we get Payton do we still go after Agholor?
